The place was wonderful and the people is so friendly! Always willing to help. Come to Mazatlan and you will not regret it
This is a wonderful condo to stay in. It is located on the fifth floor of a former hotel now refurbished as condos. Far enough from the Golden Zone that we weren't disturbed by noisy crowds at nighttime, close enough it was a quick drive to the boardwalk if we wanted to buy pastries from Panama Bakery or seafood from El Torito. Our stay was very pleasant, the building was very clean in general and the apartment was spotless on arrival. The pool is very large and was mostly empty, so we had it all to ourselves. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order for most of our stay. The rooms are nicely sized, wonderfully furnished, with all the comforts of home. In a word, it was great.
My stay at the condo was a family vacation. The pictures don't to justice to the real thing. The condo is so BEAUTIFUL ! Each of the three bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and very well decorated. We even found to our surprise that board games and paddle boards were provided for us. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essential cooking equipment, pans, pots, cutlery, etc. The refrigerator, and the sink even came equipped with a filtered water system, for drink and ice making. Both bathrooms had plenty of towel for pool, beach, and show use. The deck is accessible through the living area, and two bedrooms, which makes it perfect for sunrise, and sunset watching. The location of the condo was pretty great, it's not quite on the Golden zone board walk area, so it's a lot more peaceful at the beach (not over run with people), but it's less than five minutes from all the action if that's what you want. The pool isn't heated put in June we didn't need it to be, but for the colder nights the hot tub is great, and they of course have an amazing view of the ocean. Just laying out on the deck was so much fun. The only issue we had was that the internet went out, and two of the a/c units weren't cooling two of the bed rooms, BUT with a quick call to Elise (the condo manager) things were back to normal in no time! OH Yeah P.S. to All families with small children the condo is decorated very beautifully, so be aware that there are breakables every where. We had to put the bowl of glass decorative balls away, as well as giving a preventative lecture on keeping little hands off of the books on the shelves and all other decorative breakables. (my party included a 1yr old and a 5 yr old)
The condo was beautiful! The front desk staff was very friendly. Didn't have beach access but the pool and hot tub were wonderful.
We really had a good time in this condo. The lady who helped us was very kind. All the workers in the condo were so kind as well. The owners and guest of other condos in the same building were very friendly. Most of them were from Canada. They were very polite and friendly with us.
There is a vendor that comes about three days per week to sell fresh vegetables & fruits and another seller with shrimp. It is really a retreat to even imagine living there, because of the view, the people and the food.
The building does not have a restaurant, but the condo has a beautiful kitchen. We did not cook much, but something for breakfast, coffee and tea. The kitchen has a cute little window that has an amazing view to the ocean.
2 of the bedrooms have a balcony as well as the living room. All with a nice view to the ocean. We had breakfast in the balcony and had the opportunity to enjoy the view and hear to noise of the waves.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi of the building were so nice. January is a little cold for me, but no for Canadians that enjoyed go swimming in the evenings. I instead went to the Jacuzzi. I had to opportunity to meet some people and have a nice conversation.
We had a rental car that made our stayed easier to go around Mazatlan. There is a parking place in front of the building for owners and guest. It is safe and convenient; however if you do not want to have a rental car, you can use the "pulmonias". They are little taxis that are open. Public transportation is available too, across the street.
We preferred the convenience of the rental car because Mazatlan is such a big place and distances are long. It is hard to go places without a vehicle. Specially in the summer when the weather is so warm, you cannot stay 15 minutes waiting for the bus.
The condo is located almost at the end of the hotel zone. There are more hotels around. About a block or so there is access to go to the beach where you can swim. It is a little more calm than the beach in front of the condo. The waves were more furious there, but beautiful.
I really recommend this condo to everyone and I hope I have to opportunity to return and stay there again.
By the way, the pictures of the condo do not do justice. It is more beautiful and enjoyable in person.
Also the owner was very nice and gave us an amazing and unbeatable rate.
