The villas was very spacious, accommodating, and a perfect location to host our large group of couples. The residences were charming on the inside with comfortable bedrooms, modern bath and dining facilities, and the rooftop pavilion was an excellent way to cap off the day with evening stargazing. Coupled with all the modern amenities was easy access to a beautiful beach on the Sea of Cortez and resort-style pool and hot-tub area right across from the villas. The town of San Felipe was a quick 15 minute drive from the property and hosted a charming array of locale fair and a fun and upbeat night-life. I'd highly recommend this property if you're looking for a nice and relaxed getaway with the amenities of home close to the quaint pueblo of San Felipe, a perfect destination for daytime excursions providing the opportunity to take in local dining and culture. A+
5 years ago we found this place and fell in love. Beautiful house, private beach, gated community with security monitoring every hour, pool and rec. area. At night – stars so close you can touch! Best part of the day - sunrise. AMAZINIG!!! My kids waking up at 5-6 am to see it. (Try to get them up at home) Perfect for family and get together vacation.
Lena and Igor, thank you for being always welcoming and accommodating Looking forward coming back again and again.
We booked this rental for a three month period Dec/16 through Feb/17. It has many pluses but also quite a few minuses. On the plus side, it is located in a picturesque, secure community right on a beautiful beach. The people who own other properties in the community are friendly and welcoming. The house is large and can accommodate 8 people. The house is pet friendly. There is a huge roof top patio, (although no furniture was provided to use up there and we ended up having to rent some in town from Warner). There are two pools in the community but neither are heated so couldn't be used during our stay. The owner ( Elena ) is quick to reply and easy to work with. We arrived at the house during a sandstorm which happened frequently during the time we were there. Sand comes in through the windows and doors, including the garage door. A vacuum cleaner is absolutely necessary here but not provided. Be prepare to sweep the entire 2100 or so sq feet with a straw broom. There is also no equipment or maintenance person provided to help clear the sand from the driveway and the front area of the house. During our stay it also rained quite a bit and the rain leaked in through the ceiling (and plaster fell down) in several locations, making it necessary to put out pots and pans to catch the water. No mops or pails were provided at the house making clean up a pain. The livingroom furniture was dirty, the walls were dirty. Had to clean the sparsely equipped kitchen before using it. Bathrooms were ok and bath towels were included but there were no hand towels. The bedrooms were equipped well enough, but the mattress in the master bedroom rested oddly on the frame causing it to slant. Perhaps my biggest disappointment was the lack of sunlight that came into the house during those winter months, it was very dark, (this would probably be a plus during the summer).
Los Sahuaros: Very well kept community located south of San Felipe. Road condition for the 10 mile commute varies from smooth to rough with pot holes. Grounds and pools (unheated) are maintained continually. Hot tub needs to be turned out 2 hrs before use to allow time to heat. The friendly staff are accommodating and helpful. Homeowners we met were very welcoming. Enjoyed being welcomed into their homes, to club house for get togethers and on outings off the property. Beach is within walking distance and expands as far as the eye can see. Very quiet with loads of seashells. There is a military presence as they work to prevent smuggling of endangered fish. Construction is going on with new homes being built or others getting renos, which begins early (7 am) six days a week. Bells from a neighbouring community are rang promptly at 7 as well most days. Found this a nuisance when first there but it did become part of the routine after a month. Security is upstanding. Area is patrolled continually day and night. Rate: EXCELLENT
Property: Spacious kitchen with lots of cupboard space. The photos must be dated as the furniture and closet doors are well worn as compared to what is seen online. Walls are marred and in dire need of fresh paint. Ceiling fans very dusty. Kitchen blind broken. Leaky faucets and missing drain stoppers. Missing and burned out light bulbs in all rooms and outside. Rusty hair strainers in master shower. Kitchen not well stocked: no dish cloths or tea towels; no blender; mix master is missing a beater; fry pans are worn; no rubber spatula or potato masher. Cleaning supplies lacking: worn out broom and cracked dust pan; no mop pail (used the garbage can); no vacuum; no cleaning products. Doors leak sand when strong winds blow and water when it rains. Window sills filled with sand. Plaster fell from ceiling when it rained, water leaked in living room area. Double car garage is in good condition with operational electric opener. Appliances are all in good working order though bottom drawer on oven is broken. Rooftop patio provides a great place to see a sunrise or sunset or even sleep out under the stars. No lighting or patio furniture. After visiting other rental properties, this house paled in comparison overall. Met others who also stayed in this house and they experienced the same conditions so it's obvious that maintenance is not a priority. Far too expensive for what is offered. Rate: POOR
Nice place to stay, nice pools and beach! The only thing bad was that the TV must have been going bad, because it was in black & white. Would recommend this house!!
