Balandra is by far one of my favourite beach in Mexico! It can be crowded but you can always find a spot to be on your own. It's just like paradise!!

My friend and I spent a couple days in Baja California Sur México and got a chance to take a road trip from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz BCS is around 2hrs away, we had been told about Balandra Beach, saw a couple of pictures online and decided to go, OMG!! What a beautiful place, so if you're in BCS México tristemente me it's worth the trip!

Everyone should take the time to visit this beach.
Beautiful stunning color and very shallow to walk in.
Nice short drive from Hyatt Place where we stayed 20 minutes.
There are no washrooms at this beach which was the only negative. Plenty of parking and there was a good amount of visitors which made the beach feel more safe.

Balandra Beach is a lovely beach about 30min out of La Paz.

The sand is nice and there are shelters around the beach but get there early if you want one.

The water is warm and reasonablely clear but you can walk out a couple of hundred metres and still only be knee deep, so not for swimming.

Around the point is Mushroom Rock which is a nice 10min walk either along the sand and across the rocks at the point or in the water a lower tide.

There's a vendor there that sells mangoes but not much else so bring drinks and any food you want for your stay.

To get there Ecobajatours, at the Malecon terminal, have regular buses that cost 100 Pesos for the return trip.
