“Perfect cosy cottage”

Such a cosy, clean, charming little place. Open plan, perfect for 2. My partner and I came here for a birthday break and found everything to our liking. The open plan converted stable was stylishly done and the log burner, four poster bed and roll top bath made it extra special.
Chris and Graham were the perfect hosts, the log burner was roaring already on arrival, and fairy lights around the bed were a lovely touch for Christmas. Even after our stay, their kindness extended to returning my mittens to me via post after I had dropped them out of the car in the garden.
Set away from the house, at the bottom of the garden, there was plenty of privacy and quiet. This cottage is truly special and we had a wonderful stay.
Having looked for reviews for this cottage prior to booking, I had assumed it was relatively new due to the lack of web comments. However, the guest book in the cottage begs to differ! It's a real shame not more of those comments are available to be seen before booking!

“Very small, but spotless and relaxing”

Had a lovely one night break here. Lots of positive things to say ; gorgeous roll top bath, but need a step stool to get in and out if you have short legs! Lovely setting and generous continental breakfast included. Niggles included : fairy lights didnt work around four poster bed, very squishy bed and had to walk through mud to get to front door. Owners did explain they had recently had a flood, but in any case there was no gravel path, just grass which had gone muddy. With a few extra touches this place could be perfect..wifi and a path. Also, it isnt clear from the advert, but this is one room all in ...kitchen, bed, sofa. There is of course a separate bathroom. Lovely helpful owners and a welcoming wood burner. Did the job for us... :)

“Beautiful, cozy stay with a warm welcome and ambiance to match in the cottage!”

We had a lovely 2 night stay. There was a warm welcome waiting for us on our arrival, in the form of a personal greeting and a beautiful lit warm log fire.
The room oozed a relaxing ambiance. From the dim lit lighting to the exposed brick work and beams. And the bathroom was sumptuous and inviting with its classic deep roll top bath!
There was special attention to detail in the form of luxury toilatries and a range of foods and drinks on offer ready for breakfast.
Anything we needed (taxi numbers, help with the fire) the hosts were more than accommodating and helpful with support.
We would love to come back again and would recommend Barton bank cottage to any of our friends and family!
