The best part of this hotel is the owner. He cooks (very well, we enjoysed some really great food for a ridiculously inexpensive price) and he manages the front desk. He, as well as his staff, are warm, friendly, and eager to make sure the guests get the best experience possible. We arrived to find our room reservation a bit confused. The owner was expecting two guests without conjugal interests while we are in fact married. (Who knows where the misunderstanding began, we're still learning how to reserve rooms in Europe so it could easily be the fault was on our side.) The owner had set aside two single bed rooms across the hall from each other. As it was late in the day, we were in a take it or leave it situation. The owner offered to make up the difference if we were to try our chances at another hotel in town but we decided to take it. The owner picked up our wine charge at dinner in compensation for our troubles. The rooms were great, the trains were quiet, and our bikes were safely stored for us overnight. This is not a chain hotel, it is a guy who cooks up some great food and makes guests feel very welcomed.
