Excellent Sunday lunch today, party of 7, food delicious, plenty choice. The Sunday roast menu amazing value for money, all plates were cleared. Deserts were equally enjoyable. Fantastic service from all staff. Would highly recommend.
Lovely hotel with great food and warm helpful staff, we stayed one night and had an evening meal, a lamb dinner (Sunday), it was mouth watering. The staff were very attentive and helpful, recommend a stop over here, the room was ok, comfortable bed, I would stay again, good value for the price
Do jot recommend especially if vivisting with a dog. We were advised they were dog friendly but only if sitting outside on decking area. We had to walk through the resturant to get outside and the manager was sitting eating her dinner and stared at us and gave us a dirty look for walking through with our dog. Then when we went to sit outside which there were no other people there we were told we couldn't sit on the decking area just the lower level which is covered in stones. Also this area was covered in rubbish, empty cans and bottles on the ground and table and chairs were filthy. We were going to leave immediately but decided to have one drink. Bad idea. The Guiness was disgusting and the draught coke I had was flat. Didnt drink my drink and we left. Also how do they expect dogs to lie down and rest on filthy stones. Why you can't sit on the decking is baffling considering its not in the best condition. Will not be back
I was booked into this place for a one night stay. The first red flag was the plants growing out of the building visible from the car park, next, the room was grim, extension cables, very old carpet, just nasty, I sat on the bed, I had my 60th birthday a few days ago, I’m sure the mattress was older than me, no pillow protectors, all in all, really run down rooms. The last straw was a beer at the bar, my lips are still tingling, flat horrible and an underlying line cleaner flavour. I didn’t stay long enough to try the food. Don’t go.
We have had the great fortune of visiting the Lauriston Hotel in Ardrossan for many years now. And its nothing less than a wee jewel on the West Coast. We were welcomed back by the staff who recognised us from our many previous visits. Our table was situated at the window offering us great views, and a feel of the great ambiance in the restaurant. My family had the fish and chips, cheeseburger and Thai curry, and I can honestly say it was all beautifully presented, and delicious and didn’t disappoint, The Lauriston food/service/ambiance, is a credit to all who work there, thank you, once again for a further great evening…..we will be back, again :)
