In June this year I was fortunate to spend two weeks on board the catamaran "Imagination" in the Caribbean. Capt. Shawn, and first mate Ally, could not have been more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the many islands which we visited. Among these islands, too many to list, we went to Grenada, Carriacou, Tobago Cays, Bequi, Mayreau and Palm Island. Ally is an excellent cook in all fields. We ate Barracuda and Yellow Fin Tuna, which were caught from the boat. We had three barbecues, two on small islands and cooked by local people and one on the boat. We went to many interesting places and saw turtles, sharks, stingrays, sea urchins, starfish, coral, hermit crabs, flying fish, frigate birds, pelicans, iguanas sunbathing, tortoises, butterflies and many lovely flowers, trees and exotic fruits. We met colourful local people and had a fantastic time exploring the islands. The boat is clean and well managed and maintained. Shawn is a very competent sailor and diver and is also trained in paramedics. Ally is a trained nurse and worked with the NHS for 20 years. I was just three months short of 80 years of age when I enjoyed this adventure and managed well to board and alight to and from dingy to catamaran. I recommend this form of holiday for all ages of people who enjoy sea, sun and fun.
