The good points. Fantastic weather, close proximity to woodland walks, that's it. We stayed in a lodge, we could park outside it which was a good job as little parking elsewhere. It was comfortable enough but it looked as if it had just opened up for the summer and hadn't been serviced. Not enough towels, bulbs out, dishwasher hadn't seen rinse aid or salt for some time, cob webs etc.One and a half loo rolls (for 4 people?), In all the time, we were there Friday through to Monday, they didn't collect rubbish (nor was there any place to put it), change linen or towels etc. They advertised that there was a BBQ included, we asked, there was not. We asked if there was a welcome pack and all they said was that someone must have taken it. Could you put us something together?, we asked, no, was the response. Tried to book in for meals the first two days but were told that they were fully booked, asked about bar meals, they were non existent. The hotel was dated and not in the best condition. What staff there was were either doing other things or unmotivated. Disappointing because with good old fashioned service and enough well motivated staff this could have been excellent.

Room Tip: If you want to eat there book well in advance before you arrive

Fantastic stay in this charming hotel, cosy and comfortable. we liked the Scottish atmosphere in the decoration, the comfort of the poster bed (last floor perfect for quiet). Small miss on the toiletries but tea/coffee biscuits facility in the room is much appreciated. Staff extremely helpful and kind, we also enjoyed an excellent diner on the place. The location could not be better, great forest around and the loch. Start for many walks just near by. We warmly recommend.we will be back!

Room Tip: we loved room 22 (the small bedroom is separate from next door TV room with cosy sofa)

Booked this hotel for a one night stay. What a find. Excellent parking. Lovely looking grounds and inside is beautiful. Hosts Andrew and Jenny are great and welcoming. The room was spacious clean and facilities were great. Breakfast was big and great. Would highly recommend this hotel. Views are stunning listening to the birds and woodpecker. Great stay. Thank you

Only was staying one night but for the price paid (£90) for B&B would have expected complimentary water in the room as well as tea or coffee making facilities. Also the shower cubicle does not have any tray for placing your soap or shampoo which means you have to put them on the floor. It's the attention to detail that matters. Overpriced for what you get.

A wee trip down memory lane after 20 years of marriage. Came across Loch Kinord while searching for our original hotel. Spent the day exploring the nearby loch and burn o vat so we were looking forward to a good meal in the evening. We weren’t disappointed! Good choice on the menu, well presented meals that tasted amazing!Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
