The castle and keep sit above Dundrum. Plenty of signs explaining the history. You can climb to the top of the keep via the original spiral stone staircase (people who have issues with confined spaces and heights could have issues). The view of the Mournes, the castle grounds and Dundrum Bay are breathtaking. Well worth the visit! There is a car park and toilet facilities.

I guess most of it is written about this place, but it is worth to swing by, when you are in the area. It provides you with a nice view, even until the Mourne.
It is not a very huge castle, but still a place with lots of history.

Fabulous castle, unbelievable history! Pity about the litter lying all over the place. It appears to be a N.Ireland speciality to throw litter all over the show!

The castle is interesting you can walk around and have a picnic in the grounds. It's worth a short visit, especially if you're staying in Dundrum.

Hiding in the foothill of Dundrum village is the ancient Dundrum Castle remains. Some great views from the Castle grounds, there's also a brisk woodland walk round the back and sides of the castle remains and who doesn't enjoy a visiting an actual real life castle. You just can't beat it!
