There's quite a bit of this castle standing compared with most of the ancient ruins we saw on our holiday in Northern Ireland, with steps up to the top of the towers giving spectacular views of Dundrum Bay and the Mournes. There was some limited information about the history/architecture on noticeboards - I learned that the towers are round so that the residents wouldn't be taken by surprise. More info would have been useful, it isn't always easy to work out what part of an ancient building you are standing on or what it was used for. The short nature walk in the little wood by the castle was spoiled by litter. Allow 30 mins to an hour for a visit including the walk.
