We visited Y Bryncynan twice in one week. On both occasions, the food was good and the service was great. The team was very well organised despite the pub being fully booked and we didn't wait long to order or to receive the food. I visited with two children and they were made to feel very welcome. When the weather is good, there is a lovely garden and play area.

We went for three nights during our stay on the Llyn Peninsula. All the staff were amazing, such a warm welcome and looked after us throughout, even Sam jump started our MOHO. The food was lovely and the team coped well with such a busy pub., always profesional and hard working, kind and chatty. Thank you so much for your hospitality

Our second visit this week, and will be going back. Couldn't fault our food, and my dessert was to die for, huge meringue, berries and fresh whipped cream with raspberry ripple ice cream, yummy.

Came here twice in the week. Monday night was excellent, young lad served us and he was great and on the ball all night. Food was great, big portions and hot. Came in again on Thursday at 7.30, different staff that didn't seem that bothered. Food was really good again. At 8.20 we were asked if we were likely to want coffee as they wanted to clean the machine. The kitchen was being cleaned down and it looked like they would like the last few people to leave. They don't close til 10pm according to the website so this was odd and made us feel like we were not wanted. Shame as the food overall and service on the first night would be 5 star.

Trickyred73, we are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Y Bryncynan, Pwllheli. Sorry you felt like that, the staff always try to send what the kitchen need to clean down to them so they do not have to hang around due to the hours they do. There was certainly no intention to make you feel unwelcome. We are open until ten and don't close regardless of how few are in at that time. I will pass your feedback onto the staff so they are aware of how it came across. Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback it helps us grow and improve our service.

Wanted to try somewhere new, passed here often and never visited so we booked for 4. My wife and I chose the hunters chicken. The waiter came to the table and said "2 hunters chicken "and I indicated "us 2". He put the plates down in front of my brother to pass across. I cut into the meat and found, instead of a nice chicken breast,it was an Iceland or Tesco breaded chicken portion, 1 slice of bacon, a thimble of cheese, and I couldn't find the bbq sauce. A few economy chips, the plates were stone cold so half way through the food was cold. We were looking forward to a good meal and were very disappointed. When the bill came, it was over £90 for 4 and on the card machine it asked did we want to leave £5,£10,or £15 tip. We declined, paid and left. Very expensive for disappointing quality food and service .

Alan R, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your visit with us. Sorry, you didn't enjoy your meal with us the menu does state it's a chicken schnitzel which is a breaded chicken fillet. If you had wanted it with a plain chicken breast it would have been no problem at all the Chef would have been more than happy to do that for you.
Regards
Heidi
