We stayed (family of three) for a few weeks in January. Highlands cottage is superbly located for exploring the stunning surrounding area. There is a great restaurant just down the lane and lots of walks straight from the property. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with a really great wet room The owners were always on hand to help in any way that they could. The weather was pretty wild during our stay (but cosy!) but I’m sure as the orchards begin to bloom and the sun begins to shine, it’ll only get lovelier.

We booked a new Year break after a trying 2019, and this was the perfect antidote. Very comfy, well equipped and total peace. It would be even better at a warmer time of the year with the patio overlooking the apple orchard and surrounded by lovely countryside, with loads to explore.

We loved staying here and couldn't fault it. The property was spotless with an excellent heating system for cold Autumn evenings! Lovely rural location, yet only a few miles from Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey - all very attractive places. Louise was very kind, thoughtful and communicative and gave us lots of ideas of things to do. She even lent us her telescope which was great as I love astronomy, and the night sky was wonderful as there's no light pollution!

Lovely location-very peaceful and scenic. The cottage is cosy and well equiped with everything you need. Great base for exploring the beautiful Wye Valley. Lots of walks through the woods with our dog. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, the home made apple juice and freshly baked bread was delicious. Thoroughly recommend this cottage.
