The location was great. The house sat on the water with great snorkeling right off the back. The last few days were to rough to snorkel but the first couple days were wonderful. The pool was a nice addition to the place and my daughter spent a lot of time in the pool. We sat on the patio with the warm ocean air blowing in for hours in the evening. A rental car is needed to get around but it is about a 10-15 minute drive to paradise island and shops around it. We swam at the beach just north of the house several times as it was a nice flat sandy beach.
We were looking for somewhere peaceful to go in the Bahamas with our family. We wanted oceanfront, with a pool and no crowds! We found Cathy's house and it fit the bill. Pictures didn't do it justice! And Cathy is an angel. On our first day she ran us around to get supplies! You do need a car. My husband walked to the grocery store, but its a little hike! Can't wait to plan another trip!
My family of 3 kids (7,7 &3) along with wife and mother in law stayed here for a week and have one of the best vacations ever. The house itself is located directly on the ocean and steps from a swimming pool the kids loved everyday. If the ocean if your thing that is also steps away so bring your snorkeling gear. The house itself was clean and well maintained. We used Chef Sweeting at Simply Devine to cook our meals and he was fantastic and worth every penny. The house is located about 20-30 mins from Paradise Island which we visited once but found it to be way to crowded . If your looking for sun and water and peace and quiet this is the place to go my entire family loved every day and we were sad to leave.
Ocean Paradise surpassed all our expectations. It's situation right on the coast with easy access to the sea and its own pool is fabulous. The views were gorgeous throughout the day and sunrise is beautiful. The changing sea state is great from Mill pond to high tides with waves splashing over the wall. The facilities were as described, perfect for a beach break. We used the BBQ often. A car was necessary to get the the shops and visit beaches. We loved "love beach"" out west and Cabbage Beach was amazing. A visit to Sandy Toes on Rose Island was a great day out, great fun. We didn't like Atlantis very commercialised. We ate at The Blue Sail, Green Parrot, Poop Deck and for a real treat indulged ourselves at Graycliffe.
Cathy was really helpful and stated in touch throughout our stay. Car hire was Sand Dollar and they brought the car to us. We also took a trip to Eleuthera which gave us a great contrast to Nassau. All in all a great time was had by all.
Lovely villa with wonderful ocean views. Swim or walk to quiet beach. Owner lovely to deal with. Everything went super smooth. We will be back.
