This is a great place to visit. I am told the restaurant is incredible(wasn't there during meal time) The place is beautiful as well as the grounds. The cigar shop is great very friendly people and as a cigar smoker I'll tell you they roll a very nice cigar range.... Excellent. A visit to the chocolate store/Factory was nice once again very helpful staff. This is a place worth visiting even if its just to walk around the grounds.

if you enjoy getting out of the crush of humanity and away from the typical tourist haunts, and you aren't on a tight budget, this 20-room boutique hotel is the one for you. sitting atop the hill next to parliament house, this home of the pirate John Graysmith appears to be very much as it was when he built it in 1740 something with antiques and artifacts placed strategically.

Stepping onto this property is like taking a trip back in time and is well worth the experience and the price. be warned that you will see day trippers from the cruise boats coming in to tour the property which contains a chocolate and cigar factory along with a pizzeria, a churascuria, and a 5-star french restaurants. the pool is simply divine and i could truly spend the rest of my days lounging about it happily. the lush gardens with fascinating statuary are impressive as is the enormous spanish anchor the owner dragged up the hill.

a word of caution to my fellow americans - the a/c may not be up to par here for you - it struggles to maintain 78 degress when running full tilt non-stop, which didn't bother us, but you know who you are that will be miserable about this when paying $300 + /night.

perhaps the very best thing at the graycliff are the staff, who go out of their way to ensure your comfort and happiness all the while being friendly and generally charming. Melissa was my hero and fave staffer of this visit, helping me with everything imaginable from an early check in to escape a leaky sailboat in stormy seas, to making sure our departure was as planned and on time. she was fantastic and we plan to stay in touch because of her above and beyond personal concierge approach.

graycliff is a must stay in nassau - i won't consider going anywhere else ever again and frankly i'm counting the days until we can return.

We have come to Graycliff both as a hotel guest and a day visitor 5 times over the past 7 years. When we first stayed as guests in 2010 we fell in love with the old world charm and service. Sadly, our next 2 visits as hotel guests were less than desirable. Service levels had become more increasingly poor, the demeanor of the front desk staff was equally diminished. On our third visit, they did not have our reservation, although I had confirmation and placed us in a room that was not what we had paid for. After demanding it be changed they reluctantly moved us to our original room request. These last few experiences affected our view on the hotel and unfortunately our opinion became negative. Fast forward to 2016 and 2017. We visited the hotel while on the island for a cruise port of call, Hoping time would be kind and Graycliff would one again be the hotel we adored in 2010. In 2016, we saw areas of neglect, including the pools and grounds. Tiles were missing from the pool, the handrail was falling off and the service staff was no where to be found. At the second pool we found it not clean. The walkways were unkempt and the place looked like it was forgotten about. Now to our most recent visit last week. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, the property was in the most disappointing, disgusting conditions I have ever seen. From the time we walked through the hotel to go to the cigar factory we found garbage on the ground both in front and throughout the property. Not only was there litter, but the grass was high and not cut, ground lamps were broken and toppled over. It looked abandoned to me. Now for the cigar factory. I enjoy Graycliff cigars. In 2016, the store inside the factory had a nice selection to choose from. This year, the choice was half what it was last year, only one stand up humidor was used and the selection one could choose for a sample pack was taken from a box underneath the counter. The other case used last year was mostly filled with paraphernalia pipes and no cigars to be found. We are truly disappointed in what has happened to Graycliff and we will never return. It is very sad that what once was a charming hotel is now a dump.

Very calm, relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful foliage surrounding the pool area and throughout. Delicious pizza. Very affordable pool and lunch specials are definitely great for a day visit to Nassau, especially for cruise line passengers. You can tour downtown Nassau first and experience the historic charm of Graycliff in the afternoon.

This hotel is set in a beautiful old plantation house & to walk in really takes you back. The dining rooms are just amazing. The grounds are beautiful as the paths wind through the property. Two beautiful polls (fresh water & salt water) provide a place to cool off. A place to be seen.
