This is the best way to see Nassua... like a native, with a native. Slow down and see the sights. Our guide, Juan, is a native Bahamian and a local expert. There were four of us on the tour and as others have said, the tour is started with a bottle of water and another for fresh, delicious, coconut water. Juan provided us all with communication sets but we really didn’t need them.
Beside being knowledgeable, Juan was friendly and engaging. You felt like you were visiting a cousin instead of being on a tour. We went to local historical sights as well some manufacturers and merchants. We had the opportunity to sample rum, chocolate, tea, and wine. All with no pressure to purchase anything. Although we did come with tea, hot sauce, and a hand-rolled cigar.
Juan also took us to a local fish fry restaurant called Drifters where dined fried snapper and cracked conch along with the local Kalik beer. By far, this trip was the highlight of our cruise. Book it and ask for Juan!

We arrived in Nassau yesterday to only so-so weather, so we were happy to have planned the bike tour which is a perfect way to start a holiday! Bop and Juan picked us up and they were fun and very easy to get along with! Juan took us on the tour and he is the real deal...fun, funny, genuine and evidently well-liked by his community as he fist-bumped a lot of fellow tour guides! We saw a historical fort, Frank some rum, ate some chocolate and had conch fritters! It was not overly strenuous but our family of 5 mom, dad and (19, 20 and 23 year) daughters felt like we exercised so that was good!! Highly recommend Juan!! And chauffeurs Bop and Dion were super fun too! Thanks! Excellent Bahamian ambassadors!!!

Our family of 6 (ages 50 to 14) thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour while in port at Nassua. We met Juan and the owner of Coconutwater Cruisers at McDonalds and were driven a few block away to the bikes. We were each provided a bottle of frozen coconut water (DELICIOUS) and regular water. I was worried that it would be too hot for a bike tour, but we were often in shade, there was a nice breeze, and we really only used the bikes to travel from one site to another. The ride was pretty easy. Only a couple of hills that could be walked if needed, and one short stretch with busy traffic. We enjoyed all of the stops (Fort Charlotte, cigar factory, rum factory, tea store, and a beach). Since we were the only ones on the tour, Juan was able to adjust the pace to our interests. We particularly enjoyed spending a little time on a beach and then eating conch fritters at a local restaurant. We got a nice mix of tourist attractions and local history and a small taste of Bahamian culture in a short amount of time. Very happy that we decided on this bike tour.

This was our favorite part of vacation. We were picked up from our resort and brought to the bicycles and to our tour guide Juan. It happened to just be the 2 of us on the tour so we got to see everything at our leisure. Juan never made us feel rushed to get to our next destination and was very knowledgable about the city, sites and things to do. The conch fritters at the fish fry were a great way to finish the tour. We lucked out in that the day of our tour was also the same day as an international food festival at the botanical gardens, right by the start/finish of the tour so we were able to spend a few more hours experiencing Nassau culture.
Go see Juan and have a great experience!
