If you want a real taste of the Caribbean, this is for you. It's not a fancy resort with tennis courts and open air restaurants but a nice family place with cottages divided into studio rooms. I went in September 2018 and the restaurant and pool bar were closed due to "issues". It did not matter one bit (as both are opening soon) nor diminish my enjoyment with my stay. Cottages right on the beach were great. A kitchenette in the room and grocery store provided all the necessities and dining out in St. Croix is a delight anyway. The beach is great with over a mile of unspoiled beach. I walked each morning and saw the sea turtle nests where they had come ashore the night before and laid their eggs. Wonderful!
All the beach amenities are there with kayaks, snorkeling gear, paddle boards, etc. (for a $40 dollar fee you can use them all, all day from C.J.) Beach chairs and umbrellas offer protection from the strong sun. Be prepared to get some eco-friendly sun screen as regular sun screen is harmful to the environment and wildlife.
QUIET! It was so quiet without road noise or city noise. Tucked away at almost the end of the island you can sit on the rocking chairs on the porch (with the aforementioned mosquito spray) and watch beautiful Caribbean sunsets.More
