A friend recommended Luca, and so we decided to go for our last night. Our reservation unfortunately got mixed up for the following evening, but they thankfully took us for an inside table anyway (it was very hot outside). The atmosphere was lively inside the restaurant. Their wine collection is extensive, We shared the pappardelle with short rib and porcini ragout. It was excellent. We could have just had that and been satisfied. My shrimp dinner was very tasty with small Peruvian peppers and breaded balls of mozzarella. The cappuccino cup was large and tasty; the limoncello dessert was tasty but not remarkable. It had a cheesecake consistency. All in all, we had a lovely last night in Grand Cayman.

We are staying at the Kimpton Seafire and the concierge recommended this restaurant. Background on us: we know good food. Lived in NYC for 10+ years, travelled the world. This place does not have good food. Waiter was super nice and knowledgable about their wine selection (which is extensive and very impressive). Goat cheese salad: inedible. My wife couldnt even swallow the goat cheese. We ordered snapper with risotto. Risotto takes time to make. Somehow this came out after 10 minutes, risotto "encrusted" snapper over a bad salad. Fish tasted very fishy. Best part is we were there for my birthday. My wife asked for a chocolate cake with a candle prior to sitting down. They sent out literally a strawberry with a candle in it on a plate that said happy birthday with a few berries scattered around. Bill was $250 for the two of us. Steer clear of this restaurant, many other options to choose from. Maybe it was this way just due to the off season, not sure. Lot of room for improvement here.

Everything was perfect from the waitstaff to the patio seating to the amazing food. Can’t say enough about the red snapper or the gnocchi. Delicious! Get there before sunset so you can see it happen.

We spend a month in Grand Cayman every year and spend every Sunday at Luca's enjoying htheir delicious brunch. The seafood is fresh and delicious and we love the pasta station where you can have a pasta dish created just for you. Personally, we skip the pasta and enjoy a delicious sauteed shrimp and vegetables dish. Dinner at Luca's is a wonderful and romantic evening. You can watch the sunset and then enjoy a great meal.

This place is fab great for the Sunday brunch. Look out for Dave at the bar he's so good. Booking is recommended we tried a couple of days before but had to wait till the following week before we could get in.
