This condo is part of the Grandview complex, which has its own reviews and rental page that consists only of units managed by the main office. I’m assuming owners have the option to use the management company or manage it themselves. This listing is for a specific unit that is managed by the owner. That was confusing to me and made me curious why this place only had one review. Hopefully that is helpful.
With that being said, we loved our unit and felt like it was the best in the complex. It is a first floor unit in the far corner, the last unit on the property. Being on the end provided a lot of privacy. The screened in patio opens right up on to the beach, where there are chairs and a nice tree for shade. The sun sets directly in front of you. Being on the first floor was so great, we loved being able to go in and out easily.
The apartment was huge! Much bigger than portrayed. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of drawers and lots of closet space. The vanity was separate from the toilet and shower. There was a second bathroom which would be great for guests, we didn’t have much use for it though. The second bedroom was a bit on the small side and had two small twin beds. It would be just fine for kids but sometimes we bring my parents or brother and sister-in-law on trips with us and it wouldn’t be big enough for them.
The kitchen was well stocked; I can’t think of anything they didn’t have…all sorts of cups and glasses, mugs, bowls, casserole dishes, pots and pans, steak knives, cutlery etc. There were two sets of bath towels and one set of beach towels (I think since there were only two of us) and while there was no housekeeping included, we didn’t need it with the washer and dryer in the unit. They also provided a local cell phone which came in handy a few times when we were out and about.
Graham is the manager of this unit on behalf of an owner which we did not meet. He was able to get us checked in a little early since we were coming from Bodden Town where we had to check out at noon. He provided a bunch of information (where to snorkel, where to shop, where to eat and drink, etc.) On request, he can also help you set up anything from a housekeeping to babysitting services. There are beach floats and toys and even snorkels and fins to use. The only thing I wish they had was portable beach chairs. Graham grabbed us two of those nylon camping type chairs from another property which we appreciated. But it would have been nice to have actual beach chairs to throw in the car and take to other beaches. We spent a few of our days up at Cemetery and Governor’s Beaches, both a 10 min drive away.
The location is on the very far south end of Seven Mile Beach. You can walk up the beach to a few resorts and bars/restaurants. It was a very convenient walk to the World Gym which we used all week. A one week pass was $68CI. The beach isn’t the best for swimming; you could walk over towards Royal Palms or drive to a beach like we did. It is a good beach for snorkeling though.
After looking at the site-managed units, I’m glad we booked ours with Graham. It’s definitely the best location and better amenities for a lower price. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Great central location easy walk to Georgetown and 7 mile beach, close to a grocery store and a large variety of great restaurants. Lots of snorkeling and other water activities in the area. The pool area was quiet and very well maintained. Well stocked condo with everything you need at hand. Coffee on the patio every morning watching the water was fantastic . Felt safe and secure at all times. Thanks Graham for setting us up in this great location.
