Went to see turtles and managed to see one, many smaller fish and a flounder. Unfortunately didnt have time to wait for more turtles. Would go back. Great place for beginner snorkelers and easy parking.

Great spot to snorkel with the sea turtles!.. go early in the morning like 7/7:30am and during high tide (that's when we seemed to do the best).. We went also later in the am and low tide and did not see any.....

Did see some fish but we were staying at the Turtles Nest Inn and they had some amazing snorkeling for fish so not impressed with here.. so guess it depends where else you go to rate this on overall snorkeling.. But so worth it for the sea turtles.

Small quaint beach with picnic tables. Not really a swim beach - meant for snorkeling mostly.

And yes a stronger current here and makes it much easier with a noodle. But certainly can go with out, but for more of a relaxing time and not being worried how much you are being carried out noodle is the way to go! :)

We snorkeled there on a recommendation of someone who had already been there. We wanted to snorkel with sea turtles. When we got there, there wasn't one fish in sight. We thought we wouldn't see anything. About 5 minutes after thinking we wasted our time, my husband found a giant sea turtle and we all snorkeled over to it. We gave the turtle adequate space and it allowed us to snorkel next to it. It was pretty awesome to see. We expected more turtles, but honestly, seeing a couple in their environment and being able to share their space was magical.

South wind blew into the beach all week. Not blown out but a bit unpleasant. Snorkeled a few minutes and left. Not much to see if you can't spot a turtle. Stayed left of the dock, didn't sense a current. Don't recommend going out to the reef here since this location is noted as being a bit dangerous and there are too many other easier and better reefs to see around the island. Easy sandy entry. Ample parking. Picnic tables. For turtle enthusiasts not too interested in fish or coral.

Really hoped to snorkel among the turtles, but the wing was strong and the current was heavy so we went to Smiths Cove.
