A great place to stay at! The view was spectacular. The studio apartment was exactly as shown on the website. My girlfriend and I stayed for two weeks! Guillaume and Nathalie were the best hostess..from giving us great advice with places to snorkel down to the finest restaurants to dine at! The place was very clean, well equipped kitchen, walking distances to many restaurants, super market and bakery. It was a nice touch to have a few beers, water and orange juice in the fridge when we arrived. We rented a car, which we were glad we did...definitely able to see alot of great beaches St Martin has to offer! Easy to communicate with Guillaume, payment process was flawless and he would check in on us through email every now and then to make sure we were happy with the accommodations.

Highly recommend.

“ooh la la on the French side”
Reviewed 4 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Arranging rental and payment was smooth, contacted by email and payments easily made. We were contacted a couple days prior to departure by Guillame of potential "upgrade" to top floor with private terrace. We agreed to stay here after many exchanges of email and photos. It seems our studio was double booked for the week we were there. Our accomodations were nice, comfortable and clean. Guillame met us there upon arrival from airport and explained everything to us. He even stocked the refrigerator with Carib after asking our preference. Very accommodating to meet our needs.
Going to the beach entailed going thru a couple doors and gate with keys each time which was a little bit of a hassle, but we eventually just took a cooler to the beach and limited trips back and forth.
Parking with rental car was available but it was a challenge to back out during heavy traffic times. Rental car really not needed. Many restaurants within short walk of less than 10 minutes. Market within 5 minute walk has many basics needed.

“Surpassed our expectations - beautiful sandy beach getaway.”

My wife and I rented 'Studio Paradise' 14 days in November 2016. We were thrilled with the experience: the apartment and Grand Case beach were were wonderful.

The booking process via Tripadvisor was easy, and we had smooth communication with the owner. We extended our stay by two days after making the initial booking, which was easy.

The owner, Guillaume, is friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. He welcomed us warmly and showed great care and attention to detail. He was available in person, by text message, and email. We were confident that if we had any problems or concerns that he would have addressed them quickly. We had none.

The building, 'Paradis Caraibes,' is at the quiet end of the beach very near the west entrance to Grand Case. There were about eight units in the building, almost off of which were occupied permanently or by renters like us. The building was quiet and secure. When coming in from the street or the beach, one needs to pass through three locked doors (the street/beach door, a second entrance shared by thee apartments, then our private apartment door). Although we lacked direct, ground floor access to the beach, this was offset by improved security. There was also a safe provided, although we didn't feel the need to use it.

We were very pleased with the condition of the studio. The apartment was was clean, modern, and bright throughout. The owner's photos on Tripadvisor are accurate. It actually looks better in real life than in the photos. The furnishings are tasteful and functional. The compact, clean, and well designed bathroom is freshly renovated, and may not exactly match the photo provided by the owner at the time of my review. One fun feature of the bathroom is a window (with privacy shade) that provides an ocean view right from the shower and toilet. There are a variety of window coverings over the huge beach-view doors.

The wireless internet and air conditioning both worked flawlessly. During the day we kept the main windows wide open to hear the sea and enjoy the breeze. The air conditioner provided quiet comfort through the night when we closed the main window to avoid the few mosquitoes that would wander in. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, espresso machine, large refrigerator, and even a citrus juicer. There was also a large modern television that we did not use. The king sized spring mattress could be improved somewhat, but we slept soundly and comfortably. We were given an abundant supply of linens and towels for the duration of our stay.

The traffic on the main street is very busy, but there was zero traffic noise in the apartment. We did hear music one or two nights a week from the 'Rainbow' bar further down the beach, but it was not obnoxious nor did it continue past midnight. There were a couple of improvements being made to the exterior of the property when we arrived, which didn't disturb us and are good evidence the owner is maintaining the property. The common areas of the building are regularly cleaned and maintained.

The beach was perfect. Grand Case beach was very quiet near our end, with the busier restaurants and beach bars, and one small resort being further down the stretch. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and loungers provided, as well as a fresh water shower outside for a rinse after swimming. The swimming was great, directly outside the apartment. Things were very quiet in Grand Case when we arrived at the beginning of November, and were picking up quite a bit by the time we left mid-month.

There are convenience stores, a good pharmacy, bakery, and ATMs within easy walking distance. We took public transportation twice to Marigot to do grocery shopping in the 'Super U' supermarket. You don't really need to rent a car, but you can do so inexpensively nearby.

Restaurants in Grand Case are varied and numerous. One can choose local, French, Italian, American and other options in *any* price range.

Stay at least two weeks if you can! The experience was relaxing and refreshing, and we were sad to leave this friendly island paradise.

“comfortable studio on the beach”

This studio was located about two blocks from the restaurant row in Grand Case, so we were able to walk to the restaurants, shops, etc. easily. The view from the floor to ceiling window was breathtaking, the azure blue water, the boats, the beach, what can I say? The king size bed was luxurious and the kitchen was we'll equipped with everything we needed for cooking although this location is like a foodie nirvana, so we ate out a lot. The owner, Guillaume was so friendly and accommodating, he made us feel welcome and at home.
