We traveled by car to this beach. They have a special parking area for day visitors. We then walked down a fairly steep road to get to the beach. We were in the Jalousie plantation Resort. Once we made it through the beautiful large pool area to the beach we were told that unless you were a hotel guest, then you would need to go to the far right(north) end of the beach as that was for non hotel guests. We did have access to free beach chairs which was nice, they just weren't luxury beach chairs like for the guests. There is a dock there which while we were there brought in several tour operated snorkel groups to snorkel along the Petit Piton. The water is very clear and has various depths to snorkel down as you are basically snorkeling along the continuation of the piton only underwater. Many different types of sealift to see. I saw an eel and a turtle while I was there. Definitely worth going to see, and its free to drive to. Don't forget that to get back to your car it is an extremely steep walk back. We elected to tip one of the resort cart drivers for a ride back versus that steep walk.
