We stayed 6 days in January. Our original booking someplace else fell through - and Margo came through for us WONDERFULLY !
Fast and good communication - so appreciated. We knew there was no power - they provided an ice chest and a way to power our phones. Walking to Comado Lydia was easy - food and ice available.
The rooms are lovely - breezy - clean - big back yard and wonderful neighbors !
Joe and Margo were on site and most helpful.

My sister and I just left a 3 day/3 night stay at Coco Loco in Vieques and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! Margo and Joe were super accommodating and friendly, they definitely went the extra mile for their guests. Coco Loco had no power after Hurricane Maria but they provided solar lights, battery operated fan, and access to a generator to charge phones. They also organized volunteer opportunities for us.

The guest house is just a couple blocks from the beach, with easy access to several stores and beach-front restaurants. We had some amazing meals at the nearby restaurants, and it was especially impressive that the food was prepared with no electricity, as power was not restored to that side of the island.

We would definitely recommend Coco Loco and Vieques!

This was our second trip to the island staying at the Coco Loco – once before hurricane Maria, and once after. We had a great stay! Joe and Margo's genuine love for the island showed tenfold with their pre-communication with us, detailing all of our concerns with the aftermath of the storm. Once arrived, we fell right back in love with Vieques and all the efforts of the Islanders! It was an amazing trip. The Coco Loco was very accommodating, supplying us with all the solar energy we could ask for, complete with a solar heated shower bag, generators for charging phones, solar energy lighting and battery operated fan. They were up-to-date on which restaurants were open and where to go for the best Wifi on the island. Joe shared his self-heated coffee with me each morning, which was a delight! The beaches were still just as beautiful as before the hurricane, and the horses were grazing in abundance under the palm trees. The locals had a genuine gratitude of our visit – everyone was so friendly and helpful. The island life is so peaceful. If you have any concerns about making a visit to Vieques, don't! Make the travel. You'll be glad you did!

Room tip: Perfect location to the beach. Plenty of beach-goods available for use... beach chairs, beach towels, sunscreen.

Exactly what I was hoping it to be. Spacious one bedroom with helpful maps and info on the area located in the apartment. Felt lived in but clean, like a home would feel rather than an impersonal hotel. I like my privacy, and owners were not intrusive. They were helpful, though, and clarified what our interests were to tailor the tips they gave us. We wanted to snorkel, so they gave us specific directions that allowed us to do so without a guide. Good location for anyone except those with very poor fitness, which is probably the case for most of this island. I prefer to travel to new locations, but this is a location to which I would gladly return. Thank you so much for following your dream to "retire" there and sharing the experience with complete strangers so we could dream a little, too.

We stayed for two nights and it was well worth it!! Margo and Joe our hosts were very accessible by text and extremely friendly. The apartment was great, has everything you could need. I'd say the only negative, was the wi-fi wasn't the greatest and the beds aren't the most comfortable, but it didnt matter since we spent most of the time on the beach. The best part, Margo and Joe provided beach towels, beach chairs, water floats, coolers etc. It was so awesome to be on vacation at the beach, with everything you could need. It was a great location, where the little downtown was very walk able, and we were provided with some great suggestions for good food and fun activities. I highly recommend this place, as the fantastic hospitality makes it all worth while.
