Howard was a wonderful and responsive host. Our A/C died one night and Howard had it fixed the next morning, which was a Holiday, so very lucky for us. The unit was just as pictured. We had everything we needed to cook all our meals and the unit met our needs. Point Village is overall a bit run down and the bars and rental shops on property have long been closed down. The beaches are small, but very private and peaceful. There is an adult c/o beach and a family beach on the property.. The snorkeling off the shore from the village was great. We saw turtles, fish, coral, sea snakes, sea urchins, Etc. There was wonderful coral just north of the offshore island. It's a bit distant to Negril, but if you negotiate well, taxi rides should cost about $200 per person into Negril. They will ask for $10 U.S., but local rate is much lower.
The Sea Star Inn on the west end was a great find for a buffet dinner and great live music. 3 Dives small outdoor restaurant had wonderful local food in a great local atmosphere near the water in Negril.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves.
Our only wish might be for Howard to add wifi in the unit and put a small table and chairs on the patio. A clothes line out on balcony could be very helpful also.

Point village is a good place to stay. Beautiful private beach Overall it has seen better days but I was happy to see it was being revitalized with fresh coats of paint and attention to the gardens. I would stay there again. It would be great if there was a shuttle to stores or the airport but there are taxis readily available . Everyone wAs helpful and friendly. I felt very safe there.
