“Five days in heaven!”
Reviewed 5 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Thank you to our hosts, Mark and Lisa, for the most amazing experience of Jamaican food and hospitality! Zimbali is a sweet, soul-nourishing paradise. You have to just go there to comprehend how lovely it is to relax in a lush mountain canopy after yet another delicious supper while listening to jungle frogs and crickets sing you to sleep. Every meal combined organic vegetables fresh picked that day and served in delightful combinations. They readily adjusted the menu for my gluten-free and my pescatarian teenagers. We are all addicted to the plantains and the fruit cake dessert. (No matter how I pleaded, I could not extract the recipe.). Finally, Mark insured that our activities away from Zimbali were perfect including gorgeous snorkeling and a hike up the mountain for a lunch with Rasta Fire. We loved every single person we met at Zimbali and are happily planning our next vacation there.

“Enjoying nature & Ras Tafferian Culture”

My wife and I travelled to Zembali Retreats to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was truly a memorable and full of wonders of nature with friendly and warm hospitalities by the owners and staff. We checked in at their clean cabins and we were served fresh five course delicious dinner with Reggae, drum and Jaz. The arts and photographs of former King of Ethiopia Hailie Selassie will take you back to Ras Taffrian roots. Breakfast at the hill freshly picked vegetables and fruits cooked by Ras Taffrian Chef! It was simply mind blowing expectance we had. Are we going back and recommend romantic getaway with nature to nature loving people? This is the place to visit. The only inconvenience we noticed was the road to the retreat needs repair. Otherwise, Great location and atmosphere.

“My heart is at Zimbali”
Reviewed 21 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

My husband and I had an amazing time at Zimbali Retreat. I want to scream from the mountaintops, this is a Hidden Gem, where we were able to talk, sit, and laugh with one another without the normal busyness of life. We smiled, cuddled and hugged each other ....Alot!! We enjoyed sitting quietly, in this beautiful , peaceful, healing and comforting space. Our family has been increased exponentially. We have been engrafted into a larger family that consists of the owners- Mark and Lisa, Chef Eli and Alicea , Rojay and Ava , Clifford, Errol and Rambo. The entire staff, the children, the pets are all loving and made our stay absolutely amazing! I don't have enough room to speak about the food... oh my gosh the food! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always amazing. The rasta tour was spectacular. I can't believe, I made it up that mountain and back. The experience changed my perception. There is more depth when I look at my everyday life my family, my home, my job and especially the food I eat. If you are having doubts about visiting this place, please let me put them to rest. Prepare your mind your body and your soul for a retreat of a lifetime. Blessings.

My experience at Zimbali was full of beauty. The exquisite views of nature as you dine, the fresh and organic foods and teas, cozy sleeping quarters, the warm and welcoming staff and the breathtaking hike through the mountains, Zimbali is truly a hidden gem. Dreaming of a space that fully allows you to embrace stillness and the beauty of being present? Zimbali will help support these very important areas of wellness.
