Perfect gem of place, great for a honeymoon and couples.

Well what an absolutely delightful villa. We stayed at the very top with panoramic views across the bay. It was complete privacy and beyond stunning. The room had everything you could need to be self sufficient and they stock the fridge with breakfast goodies. Eggs, bacon, bread, butter, yoghurts, cereal, fruit, orange juice and tea/coffee. We had a hot tub overlooking the bay. See pictures. And there is also a lovely pool also overlooking the bay, which we had almost exclusive use of. They also have a same day laundry service and the clothes smelt divine after ☺️. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Close to other bars and restaurants and above Aquarium bar and restaurant which was exquisite. Probably at the higher end in terms of price and venue, but they do great food and cocktails and an infamous BBQ on Sunday with live music which a colleague in London recommended me. We loved it. Such a wonderful gem of a place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and another ⭐️

Room Tip: Very steep path to get to villa so if mobility is an issue, you will struggle.

So this wasn't our first choice accommadation. After a mix-up with our original reservation we ended up here.
    However, we have no regrets.
Our decision to stay more than a night was mainly based on meeting Joanna and the personal customer service she gave. Nothing was too much to make us comfortable. Our daughter had a reaction to mosquito bites and extra effort was made to fogg around the villa. Even giving us Bopp insecticide so we could spray inside.
The villa itself was spotless and roomy. Fridge stocked with enough for a few days so we didn't have to go to the supermarket.
I am pleased we did not try to go to anywhere else for our holiday.
The only thing to be aware of is the hill down to the restaurant, even harder to climb up. Just something to be mindful of.

Room tip: Be aware of the hill to the restaurant and beach. Only for the strong!

We live in the Caribbean so pretty picky, but we chose here for our anniversary. View from our suite was amazing, we loved having cooking facilities for breakfast although the restaurant Aquarium was excellent. Small but very well equipped kitchen.

Hotel was very accommodating with providing foods for first morning, adapting to our allergies/preferences. Wen we had an issue with mosquitos (had rained a lot just before we arrived) they quickly sprayed the area and provided us with interior bug repellent device.

If you sty on the hill, be prepared for a good leg workout on the way back to your room from the restaurant/ beach bar!

We visited 5 different resorts on Grenada stating at Maca Baba to take in the scenery and we were rewarded. We came directly from the airport very close by using a taxi. Maca Bana has a small kitchen but we came without provisions so we had to rely on meals at the restaurant at the bottom of the hill at beachside.. Our unit was at the top of the hill and granted complete privacy.

The next day was Monday and the restaurant was closed so the manager drove us to a restaurant near a harbor for breakfast and take out sandwiches for lunch. This saved us a $25 dollar taxi fare. We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay.

My friend and I stayed in the Mango villa which was enormous and had the most amazing view and a hot tub on the deck. The beach that Maca Bana is on must be the most beautiful on the island. And the restaurant, Aquarium was absolutely wonderful. Really fabulous food, the best wine cellar on the island and all in the most beautiful setting. But what sets Maca Bana apart are the people who work there. Joanna, Uli and Josh went above and beyond to look after us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Grenada.

Room tip: People have mentioned the steepness of the walk down from the villas to the beach, it’s totally fine though unless you have mobility issues.
