We were a group of 6 combined with friends and family. This was all of our first time in the Dominican Republic. As a frequent visitor to other Riu hotels we were a little disappointed by the Riu Palace Punta Cana. The good: the beach was beautiful and very clean, there are plenty of shady spots as well as sunny spots. The food was good as well with lots of variety. The waiters at the buffet were friendly as well as at the nightly shows shoutout to Andry at the night shows! Overall the hotel is very clean and staff does an excellent job with taking covid precautions. However, there were lots of staff members who seemed like they didn’t want you here. To start the lady at the reception desk wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. The girls that work in the resort store between the restaurants are very rude and you feel like you aren’t supposed to be in there. Some of the workers make you feel as though you aren’t welcomed. Overall, our stay was average there were things we liked as well as didn’t like. As for staying here again I’m not sure we would.More
