Been 8 times before in the R.D. the Ambar Hotel has an outstanding service. Each and every Cleaning Worker, Room Service, Gardener, Waiter or Floor Manager is very friendly, helpful and takes all the time you need. The Hotel provided me with an outstanding 12 nights stay and served me A++. I am a very pick eater and i loved the Lobster and Seafood. The Drinks on all bars are made just fine.

Perfect Covid management and overall very clean rooms and glasses. No complaints on room service or the beach.

Special thanks goes to the management with Carlos Rodrigues, Enrique from the M.E.A.T Restaurant with his first Waiter Manuel. The Beach bar with Alexandra and Adelaida took care for me and provide a very welcoming feel.

We stayed at the Bahia principe luxury ambar in Punta Cana for the last two weeks. It was the best place to be, great service, excellente! Food, stuff, room, everything was so good. Especially our concierge Carlos Fabian made our stay wonderful, he was around us all the time and asked how's everything going and it doesn't feel annoying, he was there when we needed him, but he was also like invisible, this was amazing service. Never had that before! We definitely will come back again to this hotel and recommend it to all our friends.

The not so good: Water is rough and cloudy. Since the swim up bars are closed pool service is sub par. It’s very difficult to make reservations for any restaurants outside of ambar. The restaurant service is also sub par had to ask for a glass wine about eight times. Beach is crowded. So many peddlers on the beach will not leave you alone very pushy. Buffet is not the best. Food isn’t hot and not much to choose from.

The okay: Lobby entertainment each night is okay. Alot of pillars in the way so not very good views unless you are in front.

The great: Leidy the waitress in the Lobby was probably our favorite part of our trip. She is amazing! She took the best care of us. Housekeeping and some of the butlers were good too! The romantic dinner was well worth the money it was delicious and five star service! Rooms and swim up were clean.
Room service food was excellent.

This our second time to DR and our second visit to a Bahia location (stayed at one in Mexico years ago). In comparison to Secrets Cap Cana this resort isn’t even close to meeting expectations. Sadly won’t be back.
