The only thing that was a positive on this trip was the room. It was really nice to have each of us have our own bedroom and bathroom. My friend's cousin owned the timeshare membership and allowed us to use it for this trip. We arrived at 5pm and tried out the Italian specialty restaurant on our first night. Food was plain and service was nonexistant. We were relaxing on the patio the first morning drinking coffee when we were interrupted by a staff member telling us he was there to take us on a "tour" . We tried to decline as we had a resort map but could not get out of it. It was not a tour. We were dropped off at the main office for a pressure sales pitch to buy into the timeshare. We told them right away we were not interested but they would not take no for an answer. Why do you pressure someone to buy something when they haven't even had a chance to see a pool or use the beach? Resort management is very disorganized. The only way to get around the property is by shuttle and there was only one running so at one stop we waited over an hour for one. Food sanitation was a big issue. Many times saw food sitting in puddle of water where ice should have been. My friend actually did get sick and even though the resort is all inclusive they would not allow me to take her any food while she was ill and stuck in the room. Internet connection is only possible at two of the beach locations and then was very spotty. Got really tired of eating the same buffet type food over and over again. We had a 7:30 dinner reservation at the on-site Mexican restaurant. We showed up at 7:15 and were told we could not be seated yet even though the restaurant was half empty. She had to get managers approval!! It is a good thing my friend and I could laugh about it all because it became a vacation of what was going to shock us next.
