Magda is just great - she bends over backwards to welcome the people who stay with her. She offered to cook us a meal on the night we arrived and I don't regrette accepting !! Great italian cooking (her husband is italian). She is very curious and loves talking so we took advantage of this to learn a little about the country and the cuban people. The rooms are clean and spacious and the area is quiet. The high point was when Magda came and picked us up in her red and white classic american car - the kids loved it !!
Great start to our holidays in Cuba !!

Hostal Aeropuerto Cuba is owned by the Italian Paolo, formerly the owner of a restaurant in Rome. His wife Magda takes care of the rental of four rooms while Paolo is more concerned with the preparation of food.

The four rooms are located in a building, with two rooms on the ground floor and two rooms above. The rooms on the ground floor, one with a luxurious queen size bed, come out in -1- common room. The seating space between the trees is also shared. The basic rooms above have a private terrace, more spacious views and fewer mosquitoes. All rooms have a bathroom with hot water and a flat screen, but chairs are missing. The water pressure is low.
The breakfast with lots of fruit and fruit juice is included, as is the airport pick up / drop off by day. Payment is due after 22:00.
Internet can only be used by Paolo and Magda. There is no wifi available.

Magda can arrange all kinds of activities.

Room Tip: The two rooms upstairs !!

The owner, Magda, is a live wire, a great character who cares about her customers. We were picked up from the airport in her vintage chevy, her pride and joy.
Accommodation is charming and rustic with a Jacuzzi on the roof which was fantastic in the hot weather, with a comfortable seating area and a few drinks - heaven.
Beautiful food, the best on the island. Fresh, Italian and very generous portions. I have many food 'issues' and Magda catered for me in the most amazing way. As mentioned, it was the best food we had on the island in the 2 weeks that we were there. (Cuba isn't really known for it's cuisine - for good reason!)
We would have finished our journey there too if it hadn't been booked up.
Being located close the the airport, it is the perfect way to start and end your holiday in Cuba. If you're not sure where else to go after your few nights here, Magda is a wealth of information and very generous with it. Ask her for tips on where to stay, she will recommend lots of areas and also accommodation. You will get to see the real Cuba.

Hi Luzolo,
It's been a real pleasure getting to know you both and, of course, your bisquits were really jummy!!!
Thank you for your beautifull review, just hope you have a nice vacation (although the food).
If the rest of your family decide to come to Cuba, just let us know, I will help you to organize your holiday, the best way possible.
LOL,
Magda

Magda is a wonderful host. We chose the hostel because of it's proximity to the airport and we were so happy with the choice. We had our final day relaxing by the small pool in Magda's beautiful garden and had a tasty dinner, which was so much food it put us to bed early and ready for our flight the next morning. Magda even drove us to the airport at 4:30 am! All in all, a great place and we can definitely recommend.

Travelling around in Cuba for 4 weeks we had the opportunity to stay our last day in the hostel because our flight was very early the next day. We just found out that we should have stayed at the beginning of our journey and way longer.

You'll find so much details and such good equipment like pool, bbq area, bar here that you will immediately feel like home.

The best yet to come are the hosts Magda & Paolo. During our stay Magda was with us and it was just lovely. Magda speaks all kind of languages I wish I could and has skills in every dimension.

If you are staying in the hostel try lunch or dinner. I promise you will not get anything like this in Cuba. And after 4 weeks we could not believe this. We also stayed in exlusive resorts in Cuba but even them could not offer such a quality in food.

On top you will experience a nice drive in a beautiful 1957 Bel-Air from or to the airport.

Enjoy your stay.
