This Hotel is a good choice for it’s location, sea-view, variety of good cuisine at reasonably priced restaurants, and a Cigar Making Demo Shop.
Rooms are large, and clean, with a comfortable bed, and you are presented with a bottle of local rum as a room gift.
However, watch out for their room balcony door! (Their Rum does NOT help with your memory!!!!!)
If you should accidentally close the door while outside, it will LOCK automatically!! Without a phone, intercom, buzzer, bell, throwing a chair into the pool several floors below, or any other option short of yelling (from several floors up ...good luck!) to contact Hotel help...you will be left either to spend the night outside, or to climb over the various balcony rails to adjacent rooms, in order to hopefully find another room, where someone is home, who may let you in!
It took me seven rooms to find someone! To say the least the non-English-speaking hotel guest was both shocked & hesitant, when he responded to my knocking, by pulling back his curtain, only to find someone yelling thru the door, dressed only in a bathrobe, while standing on his top floor balcony!
Obviously the hotel needs to set up a better system. In the alternative, we suggest you do as we then started.... leave a towel blocking the door track.More
