Went here on the recommendation of our Casa owner. Los Nardos is first on your left up the stairs, whereas if you go further up you reach Troffeo and through that and up is Astruiantos (might have spelt that incorrectly).

After eating at the top restaurant twice and enjoying the good food for good value we were even more impressed with the decor, service and of the course the food at Los Nardos. Couldn't recommend this place more to travellers who want something delicious in Havana!

I was impressed both by the cosy interior of the restaurant and increadibly good local food! It has a very nice interior, but most of all very tasty and really big Cuban meals and drinks. Also the service was very nice and friendly.

The portion sizes were huge, the food was cheap. We didn't have to queue too long and the restaurant had a good atmosphere and ambiance. We loved every little thing until the end.

We know first hand, having travelled around all of Cuba and been to many restaurants that there is no tax added onto food bills, nor is service. Instead in Havana some restaurants have started to copy the American/British style of adding service on automatically. By default they do 10%, this is normally clearly shown on the menus/receipt. At the end of the meal when we asked for the bill we noticed our waiter, only when alone, would tell diners that "service is not included", which could have been the truth. However, when our bill arrived the receipt showed "10%" at the bottom with no words next to it. Thankfully we knew this was the autoadded 10% service, however when we left our money the waiter said again service is not included, we pointed out the 10% at which point the waiter lied and said it was a tax. Don't be fooled, there is no tax, we confirmed this with the restaurant and our AirBnB host who lives in Cuba. Shame on the waiter and shame on the restaurant, this should be stamped out.

Los nardos is the best restaurant in Habana....price wise and awsome cuban food ...The tamales in cazuela and chilindron de cordero is to died for....if you go that Habana, you must try to eat in Los Nardos......

Just across the street from the capitolio, this traditional restaurant offers many tasty dishes, like Lamb Chilindron, fried chickpeas. Seafood is good, too. As in most places in Cuba, beef shouldn't is not the best option. The place is well decorated, though too dark for some.
