My husband and I stayed at the Fairmount Southampton for our 8-year wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. We spent far more than we normally do on lodging, but the view was worth it. We went during the off-season and got a deal, but I'm not sure I'd pay full price for the room. Although the staff was very friendly, it seemed as though they may have been understaffed (it may seem silly, but I asked for a robe 3 times and never got one). The whole island is expensive, but a $10 bottle of water is a little ridiculous.
The complimentary shuttles and ferry service were awesome. We also rented scooters on-site for $100 for a full 24 hours. Both dinners we had on the property (Ocean Club and Jasmine Lounge) were the best meals we had on the island. Also, the pool spa/hot tub is open to all guests at 6:30 p.m. The hot tub at night was lovely! Overall, we had a positive experience.More
