Because of the excellent staff. Don't get me wrong the beach is beautiful and is right out your front door. And the rooms are clean and well maintained. But it is the staff that always impresses. We have been going to Manchebo since 2005 and some of the names and faces have changed but the positive, upbeat attitude remains the same. The word that comes to mind is "nice" . You couldn't meet a nicer group of people than the staff at the Manchebo. They are eager to serve and help. Edgar Roelofs is the General Manager and this month celebrates his 15th year at Manchebo. He is always available and you'll see him all around the resort greeting guests. We were there to celebrate my wife's birthday and Tamara Gario, Guest Relations Manager, did a fantastic job of having our room decorated. Tamara also arranged for us to have a special birthday dinner at the Chop House. The staff at the Chop House, Michael, the manager and Phyllis and Shreequa all made the evening memorable. We'll never forget the out of the world tasting extra chocolate cake with a sparkler. The best tasting cake we have ever had. Along with eating at the Chop House and Ike's do yourself a favor and have a cocktail or two at the Pega Pega be sure to say hi to Nacio, Carolinia, Norlene,Lincoln & Junior. The breakfast buffet at Ike's is great and Ada, Glenda, Laura and the rest of the staff make sure you have everything you want and need. We have had the pleasure during our last few stays to have Josefina do a bang up job of keeping our room spotless and neat. When you are on the beach Josuel will make sure you have towels and chairs. Josuel also will provide information on the turtles that visit Manchebo to lay their eggs. Checking in and out is easy and trouble fee. Majida, Henry and Shilpa are just a few of the folks who help with reservations and check in/out. As you may have guessed by now we are very fond of Manchebo and the staff and are already planning our next visit.

Room Tip: Best view are Ocean View rooms

I can’t add anything to all the other 5 star reviews. I was there a month ago and have hesitated to add another excellent review because selfishly I don’t want the word to get out. Was equally enjoyed by my 36 year old daughter and her husband and my 61 year old self. They were recently married and I treated them to a honeymoon package. Everything was perfection from the flowers in their room to the sunset cruise. We will be back soon.

Room Tip: Ocean view is great.

Just returned home from a 4 day girls trip to Aruba. We chose Manchebo based on other travelers comments. THEY WERE NOT WRONG!!! In fact, they were SPOT on! Everything we saw from other travels (pictures/comments) and from the resorts website, were exactly how the resort is. No hidden details or things that they were trying to cover up. The resorts location is perfect. The beach was beautiful, all soft white sand from the palapas all the way out into the water. We used a few pool noodles and floated in the ocean - very nice. Just enough of a wave to be able to hear it "crashing" on the shore while sitting in your chair. We opted for the yoga package when we booked our stay which included breakfast and the yoga classes. All the classes were great - outdoor in their pavilion in the center of the property. We tried all the restaurants, except the sushi (ran out of time). They were also wonderful. The staff in each of them was exceptional. We especially enjoyed Stefanie and Carmen (at Ike's) and Carolina (at Pega Pega for happy hour). These ladies were wonderful. I honestly wish I had a little notebook to write everyone's name down that we came in contact with because they were all friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was nice, quaint and relaxing. This was our first time in Aruba, but it will not be our last thanks to the hospitality of Manchebo. Thank you to everyone at Manchebo Beach Resort for making our time with you special and memorable! You truly radiate the "one happy island" motto.

Room Tip: ask for second floor room on the ocean side, had a better vantage pint of the water.

We stayed at Manchebo for 10 nights to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. We had such a wonderful time. Everything about the resort was great! The location is so nice and quiet.
Rooms were very clean as was the resort and we felt like they were always improving things daily. Service was great and beach was breathtaking. We had a wonderful stay and definitely will return in the future.

First time visitors to Aruba and friends pointed us to this resort. It was a perfect choice. I believe there are about 70 rooms - there are a couple wings and 2 stories. The resort sits on the edge of a gorgeous portion of Eagle Beach with lounges under palapas (basically umbrellas) ... lots of personal space between them. The staff was personable, friendly and helpful - going beyond simple service and doing it happily. Multiple restaurants and a choice of all inclusive or ala carte meals. Food and service excellent. I had a massage in the onsite spa which was fabulous! Can’t say enough nice about this hotel and we will definitely be return guests! We really felt it was family friendly and were happy not to be in one of the high rise hotels.
