Just returned from Hilton Resort & Casino Aruba, formerly Radisson. Hilton has really improved this property - completely renovated rooms and commons areas. The gift shop is second-to-none. This property sits central Palm Beach, across the street from tons of great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. This EP hotel has refrigerators and coffee makers in every room, which is very useful. LOVE that you can rent the cabanas on the beach ranging from $15-35 based on location - all very close to the water; after 4pm those un-rented are reserved for free. There are several spacious lagoon pools with zero-depth entry - great for small children. Cocktails are $15 each, and half-price during happy hour from 4-6pm. Hilton sits between Barcelo (All-Inclusive) and Riu (All-Inclusive resorts.)
We rented a jeep for the day and toured the whole island, ending downtown for dinner. Downtown shops close at 6pm; Palm Beach shops open at 6pm (of course there are a hand full open outside these hours.)
We also enjoyed an evening pub crawl on the Kookookunuku party bus $47 per person; we opted to include dinner (usually $67 but they offer $10 off on Mondays.)

Room Tip: Get a full ocean view room category (not partial ocean) if you want an ocean view from your room.

Aruba is a Dutch colony. So - you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d landed in America when you arrive.

Only a couple of odd moments from our otherwise great 14 days here ....
* I let the hotel know that we were celebrating our 32nd. wedding anniversary during our stay (via the app). Their response was;
- “... We are glad you are here with us. Should you require any assistance do not hesitate to contact us directly as we will remain at your service. We wish you a wonderful stay...”
* And the breakfast regime had us baffled... in that you can only visit the food area once! This was never explained to us until the one and only time my wife returned to get one bagel......when she was singled out by the server and made to feel uncomfortable. This became even more baffling when after this incident we continually noticed people visiting 2, 3 or even 4 times! It isn’t an issue for us not being able to eat plate after plate full of food.... it’s not our style. But to be challenged over a bagel??? Odd that no one ever really explained the “system” to us though we saw other guests being educated on it. So we stuck with the continental because they serve that to you then you can’t get into trouble.

Putting these oddments to one side, this hotel is situated in position ‘A’. The beach and its powder sand are wonderful, the gentle sandy shelving into the sea draws you in. Relaxing under a palapa becomes so easy so quickly.

Housekeeping were always friendly and our room was kept exceptionally clean.
Staff from the hotels beach eatery (Beach Bites) wander the beach to take food and drinks orders all day ... and a big ‘tip of the hat’ to Erica - she has the whole customer service/experience thing off to a fine art . She made us smile every day and is an asset to the hotel. The staff in Gilligan’s and the Sunset Grille are also incredibly friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our chats with them.

We’ll definitely return to Aruba and this hotel

Had a great time and no bad incidents occurred or seen. This property is ran like a well oiled machine. Rooms are immaculate and the grounds are kept up to the highest expectations. This resort is not too big, just the right size to be able to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle in life! The Casino is attached to the hotel, so if that’s what you enjoy, you’ll be right at home!!!! There is a nice market place with live music and some beautiful and food tasty restaurants directly across the street. Can shop, rent bikes, eat, chill.

Observation: I didn’t see any locals or anyone walking around selling and bothering people selling stuff. Just relaxing and peaceful. All of beaches are owned by the government, so you can go to any of the beaches for free.

Room Tip: Room 1414 has the city, pool and slight ocean view. Can see the ocean over the trees on balcony or from window.

My wife and I wanted to find a place to getaway for a bit and we have never been to aruba. I tell you we will be back . The hotel amazing , staff kind friendly and supportive especially Cynthia Richardson . It was our birthdays and she was extremely helpful with anything I needed. She gave me advice about the island and I am grateful for her and the management. I love the Hilton aruba and will be back next year for sure. Great food, views and right next to everything . I love the main tower and hope to get this hotel again.

This hotel is beautifully landscaped, perfectly located and has a beautiful beach and pools. There are also activities scheduled each day which I really liked. I took the bike tour with Jean Pierre and he was an excellent guide (although I was a bit winded when we got to the lighthouse, lol) All the staff we encountered where professional, polite and friendly. The beach is beautiful and being close to the De Palm pier was a plus for us. We loved the happy hour there at Bugaloes! The palapa reservation system was a bit of a game - we reserved online the day before - but it wasn't really that crowded when we where there last week. I think it's the perfect time of year to go. Loved how there were restaurants, shops, bars, etc within walking distance of the hotel. Perfect location! I also loved how you could walk along the beach path to see the other hotels (both north and south) . This path was perfect for my morning walk. .Drinking/eating is expensive there but you can buy drinks and snacks at the mini mart down the street and pack a little cooler each day to bring to the beach or pool. Also liked how you can borrow a book for some beach reading at the towel shack.Really great hotel, hubby and I loved it and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
