We booked on line for $931 a week through Trip Adviser and thought, " Wow, what a great deal". We have stayed on Eagle beach many times, but never that cheap. Well you get what you pay for . We were shown our 1 BR unit on the fifth floor and we did not even unpack. It smelled of disinfectant, run down furniture, and dirty. After complaining to the front desk manager, we were allowed to upgrade for $65 more per day to a new refurbished unit. It was very nice but no stove, or dishwasher.
The pool bar is the worst, run down, ripped seats, and the bartender was learning. A very bad bar, no people, lousy happy hour drinks. The casino is small and outdated. The casino at La Cabana was much better.
On the plus side if you get a new unit, and just want the pool and Jacuzzi, its not a bad spot even for the uptick in price. Beach tennis is right there. Long walk to Eagle beach.
Its very quiet compared to the Divi, La Cabana, Amsterdam, or Paradise beach resort. Nice folks around the pool, but the front desks bugs you for a free dinner to take a tour.
Eventually this place will be pretty good when all units are refurbished and they get a new casino, new bar and Tropicana and Carl Ichan deliver everything promised, but it will be years. Nice staff especially Pablo Hoyas.
Location is very good. Room very clean. House keeping good. Two pools. One children usually used and the other more for adults, which we used. Water fall in pool. Nice outside bar. People very friendly.
We have been to ARUBA 12 TIMES IN 23 YEARS. Love ARUBA and people are very friendly and nice. Hope to go back maybe in 2018 for 25th wedding anniversary. We spent our Honeymoon in ARUBA IN 1993.
Great value if you don't mind most rooms are 1990's...they are large (especially two bedrooms) with kitchens, pools are great, Superfoods nearby great for all supplies (Dutch bread, cheeses, great meats Dutch granolasetc.etc plus )get up at 6 and get yourself a palapa at the best beach in Aruba-Eagle Beach. We go every year.
