“I really wanted to find something negative to say but couldn't. Simply Idyllic!”
Reviewed 24 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This was the first time that we had stayed in this part of Devon and only the second time in an apartment as opposed to a detached cottage.

I can honestly say we were delighted by "waves" which completely lived up to both the earlier reviews, the owners description and more importantly our expectations.

The apartment is extremely well located with all of the South Hams tourist attractions within a very short drive. Dartmouth is just a 5 minute drive away and the bus to Dartmouth in the east and Plymouth in the west provides good coverage. If you like National Trust properties there are several within a 30 minute drive.

The village itself is small but has an excellent fish restaurant opposite (but no noise or other disturbance ), a well stocked village shop and post office (which allows cash withdrawals on debit cards in its post office section) and a pleasant looking pub.

The apartment is modern and extremely well equipped with everything you would ever need and lots of other nice touches like proper guide books and maps, up to date literature and toys for any little ones you may choose to take along. There was even a wii and a set of games. The bed was extremely comfortable and the furniture seemed very new and high end.

The terrace was gorgeous although the weather was not kind enough to let us exploit the gas barbecue.

The neighbours appeared to be a mix of locals and holiday makers and all were welcoming and friendly and we loved "Bourneville" the cockerpoo who shares apartment two with his owner. (Again no noise or disturbance at all)

Finally, the booking service from Emma was excellent from the first enquiry to the. Follow up e mails, directions and post holiday care.

All in all this was a perfect location and holiday and we would definitely book again!

“Recommend highly”

We had a great stay at Waves. We received a warm welcome to a beautiful apartment . There were lots of toys, games and books to keep the kids amused.

There's a good village pub, a fantastic beach with beachfront cafe serving excellent food. It's within spitting distance of picturesque Dartmouth and there are numerous other interesting villages to explore.

I would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.
