Great Hotel

I stayed here in September with my husband and children aged 26 & 22 and this was our first visit to Bali. We are from England.

I contacted the hotel via email several times before our arrival. I always received a prompt response and all my requests were met to my complete satisfaction. The rooms were spacious, especially the bathroom which had a corner bath and large shower and there were plugs in all the right places. Could have done some extra drawers and wardrobe space (I like to unpack fully and hang everything up). The lighting/air conditioning/room service remote control system took some getting use to. The cleaning was immaculate throughout the hotel and the surroundings and pool area were pleasant. Nothing was too much bother for the staff who were polite, friendly and very efficient. The best part was the daily breakfast which offered so much choice to cater for all nationalities (even a sushi section). The hotel even also has proper weighing scales in reception for luggage.

More could be done to encourage people to stay in the hotel and spend money. For example, a music system by the pool area and some free daily activities (yoga, aqua aerobics etc.) would enhance the atmosphere; Spa prices should be more competitive in line with the many massage places outside the hotel; lower bar prices and a morning happy hours (there is only one at 3pm); having some evening entertainment, such as, a singer or pianist by the lobby bar on an evening. There was a Balinese night but this was very overpriced compared to food and entertainment found in the many resort bars and restaurants.

Not sure if it was the time of the year we went (September) or this part of Bali, but the tide goes out at about 11 am in the morning so it is not possible to swim in the sea.

We had a special request for a seaview room and it has accomplished.
The staff is very friendly! All of them !
The breakfast is Simply the best. Big selection and excellent quality.
The coffee is really good.
The pool amazing!

I checked-in late and the hotel did not give me the room which was booked for me. On raising it with their management team, they compensated it by moving me to an upgraded room. Breakfast was again good (not great). Overall a pleasant experience but I would not rate it as something top of the world

Nikko is amongst the nicest hotels around. Great pool, nice rooms with good airco and super clean. We enjoyed the balcony very much.
Additionally, the breakfast was really elaborate and up to standards. Rarely have I eaten such good eggs.
The staff, from front desk to maintenance were all super friendly.
The hotel is also excellently positioned, close to many restaurants and massage places.
I wished I could go back!!!
Thank you team, for helping making my first Bali-trip unforgetable!!!

I have been to Bali many many times but never stayed in this area and I loved it. I would definately stay at Nikko Benoa again and recommend it to family and friends. The resort has everything you need kids club, swim up bar and I liked that they offer some activities for guest to do in the day. The breakfast was great there was a really good selection and I also ate at Giorgios Italian which was fantastic I loved the live music they had. The staff are so friendly and helpful special shout out to Ms Ari she is amazing.

Room tip: definately upgrade to the oceanview suite

We spent an enjoyable week with the Hotel Nikki.

Friendly and efficient staff, good buffet, the excellent Italian restaurant (with live musicians), very good rooms and located next to the beach, great bars and a myriad of high-quality spa massages.

Why the four star rating, .... a little harsh perhaps but I found the hotel very noisy late at night/early am as noise echoed off the tiled walkways with foot traffic, and the relatively large gap under the door also let conversations intrude easily.

Our stay included two one hour complimentary massages, a discount off the restaurants and 1M rupiah off the food and beverage bill (although I can’t recall seeing that been credited back as part of our unused deposit).

I would stay at Hotel Nikko again.
