The staff were exceedingly professional, friendly and respectful. The service was excellent. The location beautiful and the grounds superb. The restaurant we went to had wonderful menu choices at reasonable prices for a hotel. 
However  
There's a severe lack of quality in the general way the rooms are organised. Maintenance is crying out to be done and repairs are not done properly. 
For example, the lights went out, maintenance was called and the lights repaired. Meanwhile the safe reset itself and we couldn't open it. Security came and suggested that we put in the wrong code.. Sorry nikko, that's untrue and shows a wrong attitude. We also had a no air conditioning. The service people came again. After a minute, the head guy said it was fixed. However, knowing that it wasn't I again

We stayed in this hotel 19 years ago on honeymoon and decided to return with our 2 teenage sons for 5 nights on our recent trip. The hotel structure is the same as it was but the entrance and reception is beautiful and well maintained. The gardens and pool area are also really well maintained and the pool is fine although very deep in places for kids. We initially got 2 separate rooms but wanted adjoining rooms so this was immediately rectified. It is beautifully set on the Indian Ocean where you can walk out when the tide goes out. Breakfast is good but not worth the very high price you pay for it. We had room service once which was nice and reasonably priced and ate in the poolside restaurant once which was very tasty but quite pricey. A beautiful hotel on a beautiful setting bringing back great memories.

Stayed here in a large beachfront suite with my family of four. Property is in need of a full refurbishment and is not well maintained. Staff friendly, cleaning also well, breakfats is great and well done. Pool area is pretty but poorly maintained..tiles are missing everywhere and the pool also is not well maintained.

Service outside at pool bar is sloooooowww.... and it became a bit of a running joke for us to start ordering lunch around 1030 so that we might have it around noon..

Good food though. Kids club not good enough, NO AIRCO that works AGAIN!...what the F ... people...kids need airco as well..

Found quite a number of things that i eventually discussed with the GM as i was so annoyed and he just gave a lot of excuses, this place is NOT in keeping with Okura hotels and we honestly felt ripped off at the end of our stay. Would NOT return as a staying guest. No effort was made to show any form of compensation of anykind...thats just not good enough when we spend nearly 6 M IDR in three days in addition to our suitecost..

Japanese and italian restaurant are very good (even though the ambiance and interior of the italian is horrible and 80's we were very happy with the food...)

In short; so much potential, so much poor management...too bad...they lost us as a customer..

I am sorry to read about your poor experience and have sent you a personal email to try and understand better since I am quite sure I never had the opportunity to meet with you directly during your stay. You certainly met with a number of senior managers in the property that did their best to resolve your concerns.

I am sorry for not being able to meet you directly and am also sorry that after sending you an email on 5 August 2019 asking for additional feedback I never received an answer.

We are constantly thriving to improve our products and services and feedback is always welcome.
As mentioned in my email, a full renovation of the swimming pool area is planned, I hope you have the chance to experience it next time you are in Bali.

As for your other points, they have been taken care of and are sorry to know that it happened during your stay and left a bad impression

Super nice hotel. Very nice people and clean but also beautiful rooms. The bathroom was also super nice and large. We were unfortunately only 1 night and therefore have only eaten an evening buffet and breakfast. The food is very good. The garden and the beach are very beautiful. The hotel is in a very nice area with lots to do. We definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent two nights at this hotel and we were very pleased. Initially, we had a normal room but the miss at the reception gave us an upgrade with overview of the ocean, free. People are very friendly and attentive, and the hotel is very nice.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable, however, there are some aspects, which made us question the quality of service here.

Upsides: the beach is very close (there are only a few metres from the pool to the ocean), rooms are big and comfortable, the hotel has a good location (across the street one may find all the necessary things, including shops, restaurants and spa centres, also only a few-minute-ride away from a shopping and dining place called Bali Collection), the pool is simply beautiful and there is enough place for everyone (we enjoyed the pool bar very much too), the breakfast buffet offered a good choice of food and drinks.

Downsides: those cleaning the room seem not to understand the meaning of the privacy sign (our room was once cleaned despite it being turned on), no new lotions or shampoos are being placed after the previous ones have been used (we were staying for 8 nights, so better take these things with you if you plan to stay here as well), the staff even at the reception doesn't seem to understand English sometimes (so you may have to repeat what you said several times, a bit annoying for a five-star hotel). Additionally, only about a half of the sunbeds are provided with a parasol. The area by the pool is always a bit windy.
