Stopped in here after a long bus ride. Was our first experience of getting to see the real Nepal and not Kathmandu. Drinks were chilled, plenty of spaces to sit and views were nice. Brace yourself for the toilets, thank goodness they weren't all in that state for the month long trip!

We called here twice in the last few weeks as we were travelling around Nepal. The menu is good and there is quite a decent vegetarian selection. The first time I had jogi bhat (vegetable rice with coconut and cashew nut) which was yummy and the second time Hill Top special curry which again was nice.

It's nice to sit outside and admire the views.

The loos aren't spectacular but much better than some of the other local toilets that we had to call at!!

Stoped off for brunch, offered us the lunch menu at ten am. Seen some Nepalese men having a simple breakfast so we ordered what they were having. Plain omelette, toast, jam and fried veg plus coke 480nrp. There were too many flies to enjoy the meal. It was just a stopover place, would not choose it, but was with a group.

We stopped at this rest point on way to Chitwan and back from Pokhara last 2 weeks ago. Good view and really needed a rest stop between the 6-hour ride either way. Toilet...gent's, make do with an open concept line up drain urinal and for ladies, there are partitioned rooms with proper seat and paper. We were told to bring our own toilet rolls as most places do not provide but never in our 10-days in Nepal had we to use them no matter how bad the toilets were. Ordered an expresso to go on way to Chitwan and was surprised they had the Italian coffee machine to brew. Issue was the milk like most other places was packed in plastic bag and not pasteurized like what we were used to. Anyway tasted real good. Was told they used organic Nepalese beans which had a different taste to the normal Starbucks. On way back from Pokhara we stopped for lunch. Wow! what wonderful local food. They made sure we had sufficient food for all so that we had to tell them to reduce the portions so as not to waste food. I usually take photos of the spread before we start meals but that day we were so hungry and the spread was so good we forgot all about it and dug in. The local deep fried fish(we were told they fish them from the river from below the restaurant) was so crispy and thoroughly fried that we ate everything, even the bones and the head. There was the usual momo, fried noodle, rice, fresh vegetables and a dish of very spicy stir fried chicken. A very good meal. Highly recommended. After lunch we had a walk around and the view of the surrounding was so serene.

Stopped over while travelling to Pokhara. Ordered sweet and sour chicken and garlic chicken. Both were really good although slightly oily compared to Chinese style of cooking. Friendly and polite staff!
