Family Holiday

We took our family of 13 to Raro for a birthday celebration. 6 adults, teenagers and down to preschoolers. All had a wonderful time, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They will need your help when the pandemic is over, give yourself a treat and take a trip to recover and relax.

Island Night

We had a most wonderful time at the cultural show. The traditional music was great and the food excellent. If you want an opportunity to sample many of the favorites of the island this is the place. Raw fish, sea food, lamb, and a plethora wonderful desserts are all included on the buffet! Take a table near the back as the intensity of the music is a bit overwhelming.

Great stay

Although the rooms are starting to date, still a great resort and greatly priced, staff at the bar could be more consistent with their help some days over helpful others not helpful at all. Recommended for families

Pros and cons

Pros:
-The restaurant food and "Island night" show and food are amazing!
-Air conditioning in room (necessary!)
-Studio room was quite big
-Safe to keep passports/cash worked
-Comfortable beds
-The wifi was cheaper than we had read it was (we got 2gb for $25 if I recall correctly)
-Beautiful beach/trees

Cons:
-Thin white curtains had big yellow stains on them and a light from outside another set of rooms shone into our room all night and there was no netting behind the curtains so if we opened them during the day we risked being seen
-Hair dryer didn't work
-Around windows were dirty
-Could hear the people upstairs walking around at 6.30am which woke me up on two mornings:/
-Pool was closed on two separate occasions (that I am aware of) as there were private functions in that area

Enjoyed our stay

We have stayed here for 8 nights & were very happy. We had a 3 bedroom villa which is so roomy especially with 2 teenagers. Air conditioning is great & well needed. We had breakfast with our package every morning. I have read a few reviews that mention canned fruit. We never saw canned fruit once. It was all lovely fresh local fruit. The staff are so friendly & always ready to help if needed. The snorkelling in front of resort is great. The only thing I would do next time is bring my own snorkel gear as you only allowed the resort ones for 2 hours.
