We have just returned from a last minute stay at this lovely caravan, in Elie Holiday Park. The caravan was spotless and there was no need for us to bring Fairy/dischcloth/shampoo & conditioner, as these were all there. Our kids, age 12 and 8 loved the caravan, playing outside on the grass and the lovely beach onsite (Shell Bay), which I loved too. We felt the standard of accommodation was really good, for the rate we paid. We will be booking again, as the owner was great to communicate with and the caravan was ideal for us to explore nearby.
The play park was good, the food at restaurant was above average, compared with the usual clubhouse meals, so that was a bonus, as we hadn't planned to eat there, but it was actually decent enough.
Driving past lots of brand new static caravans , we were a little worried upon arriving at this one as it is clearly not a new, swish one. However, no worries once we were inside -it has been well kept and updated with new carpets etc. Most importantly for me, it was very clean. Everything we needed was provided, including some tasty extras -thank you Sharron. The site itself was ideally located for exploring the Fife region, was quiet and a one minute walk to the lovely beach. One tip - being March it was icy at night and we didn't like to leave the heating on when we were sleeping -we were cold with just duvets and had to buy a set of fleece blankets. However, with a gas fire and plenty of electric heaters the van warmed up quickly once we were up. If you want a top of the range caravan holiday, this is probably not for you, but if you want a great value, comfy and clean stay I would recommend this.
