I completely agree with Nessie Noo review - toilets/shower block is good but I have to say I have had just as good at other sites visited - I would not visit again. It is pricey for what you get. I could go on and on with negativity but will not put other people off as we met people that have come back time and time again - but not us.

Lovely site, very good facilities - kept extremely clean.
Great warden, our waste pipe wouldn't reach the drain so she let us use her waste hog.
Phone signal not too great which was great for us as we wanted to chill for the weekend.

Stayed here for two nights. Jools and Dee were very helpful and gave us some good walks to go on.

The site itself could do with more attention. The grass was quite long and it was very marshy behind the pitch we were on. A couple of the pitches were not in use as they were full of gravel which was quite unsightly as one of the pitches was very central.

As the owner quite rightly pointed out, the site is not in a flight path or close to a main road but it is on a busy road which produces quite a lot of noise on its own from early morning from people going to the golf course next door and a number of the pitches back onto the road. They also drive very fast evidenced by the fact that the owner pointed out that a car had recently ended up in their ditch!

The toilets and showers were very nice but are shared with the restaurant which is not ideal for either the site or the restaurant.

All of this is acceptable if you are paying a reasonable price but this is in the high price bracket which it does not merit.

If you're stuck for somewhere in the area it's ok for a night or so but there are much better quality Tranquil Sites and Best of British sites for the money.

The nicest thing about this site was hearing the owl in the early hours.

This adults only site is about 15 mins from Huntingdon in a tiny village called Pidley. Pitches are a decent size and shape. Toilet block is beautiful, 3 shower cubicles in the ladies each with toilet, wash hand basin and shower. There is a great restaurant on site for evening meals Thursday to Saturday and Sunday lunch. Not cheap but very good quality food. For a drink or bar meal, the "Mad Cat" pub is a 15 min walk by footpath from the site. The golf club, 10 mins walk up the road also does food and serves breakfast.
The site is dog friendly, the owners are very welcoming and it is a lovely place just to relax for a weekend.

We stayed in our motorhome with our friends in their caravan for a couple of days at the end of February

Stroud Hill Park is a really lovely quiet site. The toilets were spotlessly clean, and also lovely and warm as they needed to be at this time of the year

The warden was friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again when the summer comes!
