Fantastic cottage, couldn't wish for more. Great, relaxing holiday with everything we needed. Eric and Ernie the dogs loved it, none of us wanted to leave. Can't wait to come back again, and again, and again. Thank you again Richard and Helen for a perfect holiday getaway.

“Tasteful, comfortable, convenient”

We have stayed several times at one of Richard's other cottages in Winterton (Coastguard) and this had similarly thoughtful touches. We took Natterjack and Bobtail for a weekend. The baby's parents loved the safe clutter free layout for their crawling infant. The beds are comfortable. Kitchen is smaller than Coastguard and less lavishly equipped but this didn't matter as we did not do much cooking. Weather was glorious so the fantastic beach came into its own. We found the cottage a little dark and the long thin layout is slightly odd but we were outside most of the time anyway and had a great barbie in the pleasant garden. A bit startled to be asked to strip the beds, never encountered this before, but we were obedient and did it.

“Lovely cottage, excellent location for beach and village”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We hired Natterjack cottage for four nights and it was an excellent choice. It was our first time taking our pup away and it worked out great. Excellent beach 10 mins walk away, Fishermans return 5 mins walk, very good food available. Would also recommend Nelson Head in Horsey, traditional pub and good food. The cottage was extremely well furnished and with good quality bedding and fitments and had a good sized garden which was handy for the dog .It was very clean and thoughtfully equipped. The only thing I could suggest would be a little nest of tables for putting your drinks on when sitting on the couch. Excellent choice for a quiet holiday near the beach.

“Best equipped holiday rental we have ever had.”
Reviewed 28 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The standard of the fixtures and fittings is excellent, very comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Winterton-on-Sea is famous for its sandy beach, the Fisherman's Return pub and the Fish & Chip Shop but if you want to explore Norfolk a bit more you are well placed to do so. There really is something for every member of the family. The cottage was a peaceful place to come back to after a busy day. My two year old granddaughter had plenty of space to kick a football about and it was good to be near the beach.

Liked best: Original flint walls, open plan living/dining/kitchen.
Liked least: Having to strip the beds before leaving, that was a first in many years of holiday rental!

“Nice clean cottage with new fixtures & fittings, great location for a relaxing break by the sea”
Reviewed 15 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We had a really good stay at Natterjack cottage over the holiday period. It is in a good location - particularly for dog walking on the surprisingly fabulous dunes - and the village is well equipped with a convenience store, Post Office and a great pub.

The cottage has recently been refreshed with new fixtures and fittings which are ideal. It's very pretty with flint walls inside and out and has a fully enclosed garden. The parking is right next to the cottage. The owners have kept the inside simple and tasteful with a large combined kitchen / dining / lounge area, a smart bathroom and two good size bedrooms - one at each end.

The kitchen has really good equipment - everything that you need to cook at home if you want to, although with the great pub down the road and the lovely cafe beside the beach you could go without cooking for the entire holiday!

We had a lovely relaxing time. There were a few small things that I have recommended to the owner - such as an outside light - but nothing that would stop me recommending this as a holiday cottage.
