What a beautiful place. Fantastic authentic Italian hospitality in an amazing scenery. The Masseria's roots date back hundreds of years. Beautiful rooms are spread out among various building across the entire property. There's a saltwater pool with sun beds and a pool bar available and the estate is surrounded by thousands of olive trees. Some of these trees are up to 1000+ years old. Amazing. The owners are present all day and more than happy to assist with questions and recommendations. They're all absolutely fluent in English so communication is super easy. The beaches are just a quick car or bike ride away and breathtaking places such as Alberobello, Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano, ... are close by. The Masseria produces its own organic olive oil of the very highest quality from the trees on the estate. This olive oil can be bought in various quantities and is the best I've tasted so far. You shouldn't leave without some of it in you luggage. I love this place. I've been here before. I'll be back for sure. The sooner the better.

The first thing to note is that this is NOT an hotel. We had not quite realised this, as we had booked on a friends recommendation, so when we arrived expecting all the amenities of one, we were initially disappointed. We had not hired a car, and my husband had sprained his ankle, and the Masseria is quite isolated, so we were more reliant on our accommodation than we might otherwise have been. Concetta, the owner, explained that they didn't serve food other than breakfast, but she got us a takeaway pizza menu, and arranged for a delivery, which was great, and really helped us. They also do not have a full bar, but the wine from the estate is nice, so we were fine for the first evening.
Our room was nice, but the shower could do with a bit of an update.
Breakfast is quite basic, but it is lovely to have fresh figs from the trees on the estate.
We were there to go to a friends wedding, which meant getting to and from another Masseria, which required taxis. The quote we were originally given was extortionate, so Concetta arranged for her son in law to take us backwards an forwards for less than half the price!
The pool is lovely, great for actually swimming in rather that just cooling down.
Concetta came each day with a menu for lunch from a local restaurant, which was delivered to the poolside bar area.
The 25 acres of olive trees, with chickens and geese was lovely to wander around.
For us, the thing that made the stay memorable was the service from the family, who could not do enough to make sure we had a good time.

Very beautiful cozy and friendly atmosphere masseria run by very nice family. Rooms are nice clean and prices very affordable. There is salty water outdoor swimming pool with great bar that offers pleasant shadow under the grape trees. The family cook lunch and offers it next to the swimming pool often eating together with the guests and making them feel like part of the family. There is huge olive tree garden. Hospitality is great and it is very nice place also for the traveling with the little kids. Truly recommended.

We visited the Masseria this summer in a group of 40 people from Canada. Each evening, they organized an event for us including a cheese-making demonstration, DJ, panzerotti and pizza making, home made dinners, wine tasting, fireworks, lanterns, live music and dancing by the pool and dinners out in nearby towns. Every day was also filled with adventure to nearby caves (Grotte Di Castellana, Grotta Palazzese, Grotta Della Poesia), towns (Cisternino, Lecce, Ostuni, Torre Canne, Pezze Di Greco, Polignano a mare), morning runs followed by rescue pickups from Giuseppe who knew we would get lost, amazing beaches, the zoo and a 2 day cycling tour for adults and kids. Vito and all of our guides were gracious and showed authentic southern hospitality. We visited charming seaside villages and hilltop vineyards. They were very patient with us when we needed an extended rest stop at a bar in the piazza in Monopoli . The accommodations were fabulous as we each had comfortable suites with kitchenettes, excellent breakfasts and a fabulous pool just steps away from our rooms. The kids loved the long sun-filled days playing games in the pool that is set in the middle of a massive olive grove of 2600 majestic trees! It really was a perfect vacation. Thank you Concetta, Giulia, Marco, Teresa & Giuseppe

We spent an incredible week touring Puglia with our 2 sons and a group of friends from Canada. The highlight of the week was our stay at Masseria San Martino. It is situated in a large olive grove which is perfect for beautiful strolls in the evening. The salt water pool is great for late afternoon dips to cool off. The Masseria is well located for short trips to the surrounding towns and attractions. I can't say enough about our hosts, Concetta, Theresa and Giuseppe. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. I would thoroughly recommend Masseria San Martino to anyone that is travelling to Puglia. You will not be disappointed!
