Restaurant BUON PADRE" has become a permanent fixture on our Piemonte itinerary. I travel to the area always for pleasure; sometimes with my friends and some other times with my family. This restaurant has never ever let me down. Always great and consistent food. Nice interior and very nice people. this time, I was travelling with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. We had a great lunch at "Buon Padre". We have taken Menu Degustazione and everything was fresh and very tasty. The restaurant is located within a short drive from Barolo Castle (about 5-7 minutes drive), but is well woth that drive.

The staff recognized us from previous visits - and we got our favourite table again! We chose the set menu the first day we had a meal there, the second day we could choose from the different dishes in the menu for the same price as the set menu. Another nice food experience with seasonal dishes - some with troufles !

If you are lucky enough to take part in a wine tasting in their wine cellar, you're in for a treat.
Surroundet by reoles with lots and lots of old wine bottles from the Viberti winery, with Claudio, the owner, guiding you through some of theire excellent wines, is an unforgettable experience.
Later on, we orderet the 6 course dinner with the recommendet wines to follow. We had gotten some recomondations before, and our expectations where surpassed. Piemonte cuisine at its best.

The restaurant is situated above the village centre of Barolo in district Vergne. When sitting outside to enjoy the culinary treats the kitchen produces, you'll be cooled by a nice breeze creating a magical evening.
