It was around 1 pm. I and my partner wanted to take a light meal for lunch. The menu "Risotto with Barolo wine" attracted us so much. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good. At an open terrace, we enjoyed Baloro wine, Tartar and Risotto with Barolo wine. Every dish is perfect. They are so simple dish but taste came directory to our tongue. I love this restaurant.

On a sunny Sunday of February, the place was full around 1:30pm. We asked for a table, they did not call us and sat other people before us. Then, we were asked to wait outside, in a 34oF weather. Fine.
The treatment was rough all along, probably because they were one of the two restaurants open in Barolo at this time of the year.
My suggestion is to eat at other places, not here.

Small menu card, but all excellent and fresh products. To recommend are dishes including fresh truffle (tartufo). We discover also a local wine perfectly matching game dishes: the Verduno with a typical peppery note.

The restaurant has a great location in the very center of Barolo. We had a meal downstairs - large, cosy room surrounded by wines. The wine selection was very large, but no proper sommelier and advice available. The menu is very unimaginative, tourist orientated. The dishes were of mediocre quality (the rabbit stew consisted of very dry pieces of meat without any juice and a very few boiled and tasteless vegetables). We asked for pollenta and got two small squares of pre-cooked and bad tasting pollenta looking substance. Not a great experience.

The menu is petite but there is quite a variety of options available. The food is fresh using local ingredients and beautifully presented. The staff is delightful. A nice selection of wines to choose.
