This quiet property is located at the very edge of the village, overlooking the basin of the valley, with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. It was not easy to find, but the owner sent us very clear directions and pictures. Yes is really is at the end of the road!
It was very clean and well maintained. It does not have a dishwasher or microwave. The many-program washing machine is sited at the rear of the property, but was easily accessible. The owners were very friendly and helpful, with lots of recommendations about where to go and what to see. Upside for me (not my wife) is that the TV is sited in the bedroom - fantastic way to see the world cup after a day's hiking.
There are plenty of walks in the surrounding area and good public transport. I would recommend that you visit the Tourist Info office in the town and buy a good walking map of the area. The local museum has loads of information about the local geology and history. It also has exhibits on the discovery of the intact remains of a Cro Magnom burial. We hiked in the nearby mountain to see the footprints of a dinosaur, although the walk was strenuous it was worth the effort.More
