The food is simple but very good and you are treated like a dear guest, the service is quite fast. Note that you should arrive before 13h30, after they dont accept clients.

Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere. But SO worth the trip. We stopped here on our way from Firenze back to Switzerland. It's a 15km detour from the autostrada, and worth every minute of it.
We went there for a Sunday lunch. Impossible to book a table (which you should) unless you speak Italian or get someone to make the call for you. This is not a place where tourists go.
The place was packed with locals. I'm positive we were the only non-Italians in the whole restaurant.
There were no questions asked: It was a fixed menu for everyone in the restaurant, open bottle of wine already on the table. Effectively, it's eat and drink as much as you want.
What you get is real, authentic, old-school Italian fare. And lots of it. First, we were given a whole range of antipasti, including coppa, lardo, parmigiano, frittata and so on. After that, we started to worry as we were already getting a but full. Then came the primi: two types of handmade filled ravioli plus a risotto. Again, plenty. Then the secondi: Roast beef, roast pork and pheasant breast, served with potatoes and salad. Then dessert: a delicious strawberry sherbet. Wow, we were full after that. But wait... It turns our the sherbet was really just an intermediate course, not a dessert. So we went on with polenta with snails and mushrooms. And then finally dessert and coffee. Plus they put a 5 litre bottle of grappa on the table so that we could help ourselves. Needless to say we couldn't anything else that day.
Everything was delicious. The atmosphere basic, cosy, and very authentic, the service friendly and professional. Great on every dimension.
Worth mentioning they make their own wine. Nothing special, but good enough. I think we made it through a bottle and a half.
Paid 37 EUR per head for everything - including drink as much as you want, coffee, grappa, water and of course all the food. We counted 20 different dishes in total.

For a real authentic Italian experience, this is the place.
