Spent a lovely night in 'Emilie' with our bicycles safely tucked up down below! Had a welcoming dip in the nearby river following a days cycling. Jon and Melanie were excellent hosts from the moment we arrived and were very informative about things to do and see... they made us feel very at home and showed us where the fridge was! The accommodation was fabulous and very clean. We booked in for dinner which was absolutely gorgeous...Melanie cooked us up a real treat and Jon served dinner whilst chatting to us about travel..cycling..wine..etc..etc...it was perfect. Following dinner we took a lovely walk along the river and found a small tapas bar which was in a stunning location and great fun...do go and explore! Breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this luxurious place to stay and just wished we could have stayed longer. Rhona & Stuart

We stayed with John and Mel last year for a few days as we attended a family wedding locally. Everything about our stay was excellent. John and Mel are so friendly and accommodating at all times. Their house is beautiful, and located by the canal in a charming village. We stayed in a large apartment on the top floor with its own balcony, lounge, bathroom and two lovely guest rooms - its was absolutely first rate.
Mel's breakfasts were fantastic and chatting with John over coffee in the morning was always entertaining.
Communication was second to non, as to be honest we were a little painful in that our numbers kept changing, but Mel was fantastic and nothing was ever a problem. There is literally nothing John and Mel wouldn't do, to make our stay more memorable. They even arranged our transportation to and from the airport.
I can not recommend La Souqueto highly enough.

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw were fantastic. I loved the top floor suite with two bedroom as we had our own area to chill.

2 days wasn't enough! we have just returned after 2 lovely days in the region, staying at La Souqueto. Jon and Mel are the perfect hosts, providing very comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms and breakfast area. We stayed in the family room which has a lovely private roof top terrace. Breakfast ambiance was informal, cosy (so much so that we came down in our slippers!) with delicious fresh bread, home made granola, jams, with a welcome morning chat with the hosts. It really felt home from home. The trip on the Bella Mia boat, owned also by the hosts was one of the highlights of our visit. A wonderful place to stay!

What a gem of a place, gorgeous B and B and lovely hosts where nothing was too much trouble. Great choice of local restaurants suggested by Neil and we even had a cruise down the canal du midi. Breakfast was delicious too will certainly return.

This place is lovely and beautiful. Jon and Mel are warm and helpful. They gave my friends and me great advices to local restaurants and points of interest catering to our interests. Jon arranged for us a boat ride on his Bella Mia and also a wine tour with an excellent guide, Matthew. Both were fun and enjoyable. We requested to have 2 dinners at their place, they accommodated us and provided us with lovely meals and companies. We laughed throughout and had a great time. This experience was so unique and memorable. Thank you, Jon & Mel!
