“Home well maintained and situated in a very picturesque setting”
Reviewed 18 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Be prepared for the access road to the property as it is basically a wagon track although its well traveled. Everything was as advertised and we were very satisfied with our stay. The property managers were very nice and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.

Liked best: The home was very good and very well maintained
Liked least: The location was remote and the road to it was basically a wagon track for about 2 miles

“Wonderfully tranquil and cosy”
Reviewed 22 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I spent a short break here on my own and it was perfect! From the cosy log burning stove, comfy bed and wonderfully curious sea-related ornaments all round the cottage to the views from the windows, it was everything I needed. I even parked the car for most of the trip, going for strolls down to the sea below or up over the headland. And, being West Cork, the roses were still in full bloom in mid-October. I only wish I could have stayed longer! But I hope to be back with all the family next time.

“A beautiful place - a hidden gem!”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We absolutely loved our stay in beautiful Ballydehob. Hidden in the deep heart of Cork, this cottage is a lovely place to stay at. It is close to Bantry and you can also reach great coatel roads such as Mizen Head, Sheep's Head or the Ring Of Beara.
Kathleen and her family are ever so nice and they make you feel right at home in their lovely house. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

“Fabulous house in beautiful setting”
Reviewed 19 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed in Heron's Cove in July 2015 . we had a wonderful holiday despite mixed weather . the house is very pretty in a beautiful peaceful location but only minutes from Bakkydehob and close to , Schulll, Bantry and Barley Cove etc.It was very child friendly and spotless . really well equipped with full kitchen, utensils, towels, bedding Tv etc and lovely cosy wood burner for cooler evenings. Kathleen is adorable and couldn't of been more helpful or welcoming. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone as a great base for exploring the beautiful West Cork

“a little bit of heaven!”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

If you love flowers, bumble bees ,birdsong and wildlife with spectacular scenery this is a must. we were welcomed by the owners Kathleen and Tony on arrival. the cottage itself was the most charming cottage ive ever been in. Surrounded by roses, lavender and honeysuckle It was like a chocolate box cover. if you love peace and quiet this place is a must although you will be disturbed by birds singing, bees buzzing and the occasional moo of a cow! I would advise any one reading this review to click on herons cove cottage to see how beautiful it is. Thank you Kathleen for your thoughtfulness in leaving us a welcome hamper of delicious bread and other goodies. We definitely will be back someday.
